I've started writing an adventure for an Eberron campaign, but i'm having trouble writing a plot line. If anyone has any ideas that i could expand on, or a better place to put this thread, post away.

Do you have at lest an idea of who, what, when and were?
Or were you want them to end up?

My thought is, read through the Eberron Campaign Setting a few times. Then, when something sparks your interest, flesh it out. Use the module in there as a kind of primer too and see where it takes you. That's sort've what I did my first time out.

All I have put together is the senario that these adventurers are happenstance survivors of the Cyran cataclysm of the day of Mourning. They were placed into a stasis and encased in stone by the effect, whatever it was, and they "hatch" from the stone cacoons 4 years after that day. From there, I havent done anything aside from placing them in Starilaskur on the day they reanimate. I have thought about using the module in the back of the campaign setting, but i'm not sure yet.

I dont really even have any small adventures for the start yet. I've read through the Campaign Setting and Sharn: City of Towers, several times, but i am having a hard time thinking of something smallish to start with.

The weekly world news paper.

The outragious stories in this publication is always good for a hook or two.
Bigfoot and satan battleing in a bar room brawl
good stuff.

Have you read the Sharn Inquisitive, Dragonshards, or Steal This Hook? They can inspire ideas.

So they are first level?
Just woke up from sleeping inside a stone egg.

A change I might suggest.
Have them be solders and have them on patrol when they see the event, a wagon with the royal seal rides past in full haste.
A hand with a wand sticks out and they are hit with flesh to stone.
Later a group of Morgrave explorers see them in this state and the head of the expedition thinks “hey lets get these guys out of here and revive them and see if they can tell us what happened.”
So they load them up in a wagon and fight there way back to Starilaskur were one of the professors (or someone who can bill them for their service) returns them back into people and starts barraging them with questions.
Depending on how nice you are depends on if they are billed or in indentured servitude to the university.
Gives you a way of getting them to go to places and retrieve things or protect some or something till they pay off there debt.
As for low level things to fight or do there are lots of little go here and do this or get this you can do to them.
