OK, not a message from my mom, but she is a teacher and I hope to carry on her work in todays lesson: loose versus lose!

Late homework will not be accepted.

1. When Jim stopped eating desserts and snacks for two weeks, he began to (loose, lose) five extra pounds.

Your answer:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. When Vicky was in high school, she had a bad reputation for being (loose, lose) since she had one boyfriend after another.

Your answer:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. I was afraid that I would (loose, lose) my place in line, so I waited for thirty minutes before my name was called.

Your answer:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Today's fashions call for (loose, lose) clothing, which are far more comfortable than last year's skin-tight themes.

Your answer:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Whenever I read a good book, I almost (loose, lose) myself in its drama.

Your answer:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for participating in today's lesson. :P

Oh, and to keep it Eberron specific, you will not be accepted as a journalist for the Korrenberg Chronicle until you master this lesson. Repeat as necessary.

*raises his hand*

May we please have a test on 'then' and 'than?'

1. Lose
2. Loose
3. Lose
4. Loose
5. Lose

Quick question: What does this have to do with Eberron? Or D&D? Or anything?

Quick question: What does this have to do with Eberron? Or D&D? Or anything?I think this is just his subtle way of saying "You all spell like complete idiots! You can't even tell the differance between 'loose' and 'lose'!" Its just a spelling rant, ignore it and move on.

But that does certainly not deny the fact that Eberron is a very cool and refreshing campaignsetting :P

thAn is used when comparing two things - Our DM has more D&D books thAn any of us players

thEN is used in every other case

hope to have made ur mom proud, I'm from the Netherlands (whoops, *your mother, not ur mom :P )

Lol well the "rouge vs. rogue" had already been done...

I was actually at the point of seeing "loose" where "lose" should be used so many times I was wondering if I had it wrong. Sorry for the mini-rant :D .

Good job Lujayne34 and Waracle, you both get A's. Your new assignment is to spread your knowledge throughout Khorvaire.

Guys, throwing in an afterthought to make something "Eberron", does not change the fact the post is off topic.
