The Magic of Eberron (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/eberron/882917200) product page has been posted, and gives the following information:

Magic of Eberron explores the variety of magic available in the Eberron world. It introduces a wealth of new arcane and divine spells, and artificer infusions. Chapters explore the more unusual manifestations of magic in Eberron, such as elemental binding, dragonshards and dragon magic, and the corrupted magic of the daelkyr. A chapter on lost magic explains how to make the discovery of new magical secrets a central feature of any Eberron campaign

Sounds good :) A Lost Magic chapter sounds like a great idea, and I'd especially like to see some daelkyr and dragon magic.

Mnn... tasty sounding stuff!

Good to see we have Elemental Binding explored further, as well as the many uses and mysteries of Dragonshards. There is lots of potential in those kinds of things. :) Also, I hope we get to see more Quori embedded shards! Is that really too much to ask for? :P More Psionics never hurt anyone... except maybe the ones who get in the Dreaming Dark's way :smirk:.

Dragon and Daelkyr magic!

:plotting: :evillaugh :plotting:

Need I say more? :schemes:

Ohhh, look, we even have a chapter on 'lost' magics! :D Go pulp atmosphere! :w00t:

Didn't we finish a conversation about that? :D

I anticipate using this book a whole bunch for my Realms Campaign, what with all the magical societies and locals in that setting that have yet to be detailed.

Should be a great book, from the look of things.

As long as they don't pull another ROE cover-switch on us there should be no problems.

Ed Greenwood and Tracy Hickman didn't write every Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance book (respectively), so you can't expect Keith Baker to write every Eberron book.

Five Nation is up next so I'll take that one first. Magic has long been dealt with as a it's just there rule in D&D. I like rules even minimal ones because they provide a unified base line for "All of Us" to play the same game. With out rules these boards would be pointless because our games would be so different that discussing them would be worthless. Rules on Dragon Shards and Binding will defiantly help make Eberron a more concrete setting.

Psionics should be in there, it probably won't be as much as Psion players would like but its more than you'd see in other setting products. Be happy that its being supported. I feel your pain, as a Mac Gamer I know what it's like to be in the minority. Eberron is the first setting that truly incorporates Psionics with out being a Psionic only setting or having them as a foot note.

Now the test for any setting is if it can survive it originator with out radically changing. It's time of Eberron to stand and take it's place next to FR and Greyhawk as a viable setting.

Nope, obviously it'll be the flagship book for the new Magic of... series, to be rapidly followed by "Magic of the Forge", "Magic of the Hearth", and, um... "Magic of That Guy Over There".

Watch out for those epic level bunnies with vorpal teeth...

Anyways, I hope that this book will give Music some coverage. It's the singlemost coolest form of magic in Eberron. Maybe tips on converting the Primal Song from Complete Arcane into Eberron form? I don't know about anyone else, but the Seeker Of The Song prestige class simply screamed Eberron to me when I first saw it.
