How can the Korranberg Chronicle help make your game more enjoyable?
All answers are valid only if your local DM says so.

You can ask for specific information to the Ask Atgar advice column (such as What is a Schema and where do I find one?) (DMs, please let your players know which Ask Atgar answers are considered correct for your campaign)

You can search the classifieds for job openings, reward offers, and buying/selling information. (DMs, just because the Chronicle offers it, doesn’t mean someone else didn’t get to it first – very useful rule if something appears that you don’t want the characters to have)

You can keep track of how your favorite Orcball team is doing (and whether or not you owe the bookie some coin).

You can keep up on the latest Travel hotspots around Khorvaire.

Is Karrnath really only known for its cheese and Nightwood ale? Find out in the A&E section!

Where is the best place to eat in Sharn? Keep reading the Dining section to find out!

Who is Vangradaun really? Front page action!

Got an old sword you don’t want? Take out a classified and sell it! (DMs, I houseruled that anything placed for sale in the classified is as good as sold, but this also creates fun opportunities. Like what you ask? Well, how about the +1 longsword the party’s fighter sells. Who buys it? Why, the campaign villain who also knows that its no ordinary +1 longsword, but rather a leveled weapon!)

Want some extra coin? Pen an article for the Chronicle and if it gets published, you get paid! (DMs, I houseruled that any article my players submit – in character – and gets publish, they receive 2 Silver Pieces. Not a whole lot, but who says they don’t get more once they start becoming a regular?)

DMs – looking for inspiration or a plot hook? Read through our Chronicle, there are plenty of suggestions to be found in each issue of the Chronicle.

Finally, each issue of the Korranberg Chronicle is slated to be available once every two weeks, normally on Fridays. Please keep in mind that this is a fan-based project and while we are not official, we do our best to remain true to the setting of Eberron. All articles and submissions, along with questions to Ask Atgar, should be done in character.

Any other suggestions out there?

Thanks for reading!

I'd just like to add that should anyone need D&D game stats for villains and heroes presented in the Chronicle, feel free to email the relevant member of staff on the KC website.

Why not dedicate a seperate section of the website to list villians by info and portrait like they would be in 'shadows of the last war'?

It would give a good reference point for Dms to have a page of just villians, regardless of how they fit into the stories you've written it is an interesting idea to have them availible readily, or perhaps different versions of them if they were allowed to progress like those recurring villians in the ECS.

Best of luck with all that news stuff, though I think most Dms will rely on what they like thier players to act on and consistent knowledge of the party. It gets difficult when players read something and think on it for about tens minutes and discover it has nothing to do with them, though they thought it was interesting nonetheless.

For those with limited time to play, a KC may not be the best option.

Will you also keep a rolling section for past issues? Or have you thought that far yet?

Thanks for your suggestions, Saurenda. A seperate villains and heroes section, possibly as a pop up like the staff listing, could be worked in...
I'll have a word with the Web Designer, see what can be done.
We realise that the KC will not be to everyones taste. Basically, we're here to provide a little flavour and some adventure hooks, maybe get a DM thinking about something that he/she can include in an Eberron campaign. I know that, given a few issues, I'll have something to use in my Eberron campaign when it kicks off this Winter!
By that time of course...we'll all have the Sharn book, which can't come quick enough for me...
Ah well...something to look forward to, I guess!
Have fun.

Speaking as a DM (albeit a new one) and a software engineer (ditto) I'd find it fairly useful if you could code the KC in such a way that I could supply the site with - say - an XML file, and give a link to my players that references the file, so that when they view the KC using the link the contents of the file have been dispersed about the Chronicle. This way, I could fairly easily add my own classifieds, or add an article or two of news, without affecting the actual site.

PM me for for technical ideas (this probably isn't the place or time).

Thanks for the feedback from everyone.

However, if you have suggestions on what we can do better, please direct them to our Editor in Chief via the Chronicle website. If you follow the first link in my sig below, you will see a link for The Staff on the left hand side near the top of the page. This will open another window, allowing you to email our Editor in Chief any suggestions.

I just don't want to have this thread hijacked/locked nor wish to take up space on WotC's boards that doesn't need to be used.

Thanks again all and I hope to hear how other people used the Korranberg Chronicle in their games!
