Map/Silver Flame help **My Players Stay Out** [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-27-07, 11:34 AM Hey fellow Eberron fans,

Need some help. I need a Silver Flame stronghold for game Saturday, and am finding my time limited for prep. Do any of you have any maps to recommend that would fit well as a Silver Flame religious stronghold? A map? Or at least a picture with which to inspire me?

What would you all recommend to get across that Inquisatorial vibe the the Flame has?

03-27-07, 11:53 AM Try not to emphasise the Inquisition angle. The church is generally good overall, and it kind of spoils their nature to be "LG on paper."

As for strongholds... There's a map of a silver flame church (Though not cathedral) in the Player's Guide to Eberron.

There's some stronghold maps in the Stronghold Builder's Guidebook and Sword and Fist.

The Monestary of the Unyielding Shield (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/foe_maps/99921.jpg) from Faiths of Eberron is a Soverign Host building but adaptable for your needs.

The Shrine of the Serpent (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/foe_maps/99923.jpg) from FoE is less a stronghold, more a holy site, so it's probably out.

Either way, Stronghold Builders Guidebook can give you some ideas for what to include (Yes, there's a torture chamber) and how to put it together.

Oh, and complete divine may have some maps. I'm not sure.

03-27-07, 05:35 PM Thanks for the ideas. The Flame is a current antagonist of the group. Not bad, but the people they are opposing within the church are. Anyone have links to floorplans of medieval churches or castles that are interesting?

All kinds of maps from Eberron sourcebooks, including a floorplan for the Cathedral at Flamekeep

I love Nietzche and i get his point, but the Raw is the RAw and for the most part silver flame worshippers are pretty resonable, currently the predominant ppl in control of the church are moderates.

but hey its your campaign :P

I can dig the RAW, and most Flamies are LG. The PCs are dealing with a sect of anti-lycanthropes that have targeted the PC shifter. :) A fun little story of abduction, prison/church-break outs, and finding out just WHY these guys are doing what they are. :cool:
