Personally I've invetented a new mark for orcs only. Its a Mark of Strength/Power. And I think its kinda cool, ofcourse the RP will be extremely tough for the players selecting it ^^

10-28-04, 11:21 AM Considering that KB's take on the world is that res magic should be very rare, that death should be perm and feared. I don't think that would fit in his view of the setting.

But do whatever you wish, I like the idea for customization.

10-28-04, 11:28 AM What seperates your mark of live with the House Jorasco Mark of Healing? You get more powerful abilities than them, so yours is strictly better, isn't it? I think that you should be careful to add any dragonmarks. Here are 3 considerations:

1) Everything is connected. The active dragonmarks correspond to the moons and to the planes that can become coterminous with Eberron. This is not merely a coincidence. If you are going to create a new mark, you should pre-empt it in the story by having Dal Quor reintegrate into its Planar orbit and then have the 13th moon appear.

2.) Valenar Elves are already gifted in Eberron with several kinds of abilities, and a rich martial culture. It is not necessary to give them the Mark of Life just because Elves held the mark of Death. Does it match with their particular philosophy? How are their ancestors glorified through this? It is important to be able to answer these kinds of questions.

3.) A mark of Undeath or Deathless might be more appropriate for Elves to get in Eberron.

pc only just started the their paths! the new mark was for epic stuff in the future...
