I have just gotten back into role playing with the release of Eberron I have always been a fan of the game and I really love the setting, But I'm have been looking for ways to introduce more drama to the game. I was wondering if anyone had tried incorporating the Drama deck from the Torg game in to Eberron. I think I will introducing it to my players over the next few sessions. Any feedback would be most helpful.

I used whimsy cards (http://www.darkshire.net/~jhkim/rpg/systemdesign/cards/whimsycards.html) in a Vampire campaign a while back. It seemed to work pretty well, but got out of hand now and then. The GM had the final say on if some really happened and there was sometime Experience reward for coming up with something good. We had to limit how often they could be used, though.

I wanted to try something like this in a D&D game, but it seems the game is more structured and not as conducive to this. But then again it may just be my assumptions of the players in my group.

I thought about tieing these to action points, really bringing home the over the top heroic action. If the action point use was described well (the player could just use them normally with no description), then there would be a chance of them keeping the action point they spent (I was thinking 10-25%, based on the description).

If you do end up using these, let us know how it goes.
