[Morrowind inspired campaign] Rajah or Daelkyr ? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-25-05, 04:33 PM I'm musing with the idea of adapting Morrowind's "sixth house" to design my next campaign in Eberron (it will be the "fifteenth house"). The idea is to have a force of Evil taking control of house Tarkanan, and transforming it into nexus of dragon-below cultists, using aberrant dragonmarks and spreading vile mutations/diseases.

So what would be the force of Evil behind such organization ? A powerful Daelkyr or a Rajah of pestilence ? Or, knowing that they use dreams (as in the CRPG) to attract followers, a renegade Quori under the service of a Daelkyr "corrupted" by a sleeping Rajah ? (this may be somewhat too much...).

I like the idea of using the Rajah, because of its "Chtulhu" touch, and because they seems more tied to the prophecy and aberrant dragonmarks than the Daelkyrs, but mutation is the domain of the Daelkyrs.

Do you have any idea ?

I really don't think House Tarkanan would stand for being taken over. They are really self-sufficient.

Who says Rajah have a Chtulhu touch. The Daelkyr are all about Madness and Insanity. Plus the mutations and stuff. Besides, the aberrant marks are mutations from cross-house children. So Daelkyr fit in there too.

You forget that there is TWO house of shadow... Thus, Vol is the 14th, and Tarkanan would be the 15th.

I really don't think House Tarkanan would stand for being taken over. They are really self-sufficient.

Who says Rajah have a Chtulhu touch. The Daelkyr are all about Madness and Insanity. Plus the mutations and stuff. Besides, the aberrant marks are mutations from cross-house children. So Daelkyr fit in there too.
Rajah are "elder evil" of immense power, and their taint may even corrrupt the dragons guarding their prisons... In fact, both the Daelkyr and the Rajah fit in there.
