| Geethree07-19-04, 02:48 PM | Hah! That's good. |
| Foxboy200007-19-04, 03:00 PM | I doubt it could be a traditionally published one, though, considering how . . . virulent Agatha Christie's estate can be protecting her copyrights. Of course, as long as you don't have a "Hercule Poirot" or have the murder use the same facts . . . |
| lukelightning07-19-04, 03:08 PM | Well, Sesame Street did get away with a detective "Hercule Parrot." Or how about "Red Rum on the Orien Express." We could get Stephen King suing as well. A Gnome Artificer / Master Inquisitor named Hieronimus Portis would be soooo money for this adventure, 'specially if he had the funky, well groomed moustache. The party would collectively be filling in the role of the loveable Hastings, even though Hastings does not make an appearance in MotOE. Hm.. *goes to jot down a few notes* |

| stembolt07-19-04, 11:09 PM | "Hercule Parrot." Or comments of a humorous nature about the “orien express” are transformative. They are in fact jokes and are covered by fair use. Making an adventure about a murder similar to a book and giving it a similar title is a derivative work and not covered under fair use. |
