The backdrop is that the ritual the giants used to blast Dal Quor away from Eberron blew a chunk fo the plane off, and Demogorgon managed to sieze the new demiplane and warp it to his twisted ends. Among other things, he has created his own nightmare minions, and I thought I'd use some kind of mutated quori, similar enough to draw the dream connection, but sufficiently different that one can tell it's not a normal sort of quori. The snag is that quori already look so freaky I'm not sure what I can do with them to make them look mutated or wierder. Give them all identical baboon faces? Replace pincers with tentacles? I'm not sure I really need to do anything with them statwise (maybe apply some taint mechanics from heroes of horror) but I would like a difference in appearance. |

Perhaps another should be in a constant state of flux: it's formed from nightmares of a creature that is not only an incarnation of chaos but also has multiple personalities. Of course, a quori being actually present in the material plane is pretty shocking in itself. I suppose I could probably also use Obryths and Loumara from FCI as examples of 'demogorgoquori'. Perhaps some unique quori/demon should have an visage of madness that causes people to be morbidly afraid of sleep. |
