| Edymnion07-04-05, 09:43 PM | One of my characters just manifested an abberrant mark (burning hands), and I figured I'd actually draw one up for it. http://www.geocities.com/edymnion3/DnD/Eberron/dragonmark.jpg |
| liquidfilth07-04-05, 11:48 PM | I like it, nice and simple. I'm likely going to make use of it (at some point) in my game, to illustrate what mark they see on a villian's body. You interested in conjuring up an abberant dragonmark for "pass without trace"? |
| Thomar_of_Uointer07-05-05, 12:13 AM | Dragonmarks always have some slight resemblance to a dragon. An abberant mark should look like some kind of draconic beast, be it a wyvern or a half-dragon of some sort. |

They don't even look like each other, such that two people with the same abberrant mark can have two totally differant patterns to the mark. And no, the least marks don't always look like dragons. Mark of Detection looks like an eye (the Eye of Ra, actually), the least mark of Making looks like a harp, while the least mark of Warding looks like Gumby in a cape... Heck, the Greater Mark of Warding is just more or less a disk of lines. Several of the marks do look like dragons (sentinal and shadow, for example), while all the Syberis marks look dragon-ish. Anyway, long story short, the Abberrant marks don't need to look like dragons. Heh, and actually, looking at the mark I made now, it sort of looks like a face in profile, looking to the right... |
| Tek07-05-05, 02:55 AM | I think it looks pretty good. Almost like a rooster, though. ;) |
| mistakeagian07-05-05, 12:37 PM | Rooster? Maybe is a cockatrice-mark! Oooh that explains why the abberants are so nasty! :-P Heheh, very nice! i like it alot! |
| pseudonym07-05-05, 09:15 PM | the least mark of Making looks like a harp When I first saw the Mark of Making it reminded me of a stylized Lyre of Building, which seemed thematically appropriate. |
| Raziel_Brokodar07-09-05, 09:39 AM | I like it, nice and simple. Indeed!! Great Dragonmark and after all it is one of a 1st Level spell, so it should be nice and simple.... |
