Hello fellow Eberronites! One member of my party is a LG female Kalashtar (Soulknife 3 (1st sub level))of the line of Vakri. I'm DM'ing and her story came out first. Now throught their stay in Sharn the PC's have been staying with the Kalashtar for free ( chores for payment). Well they felt safe there, and I just had to stress "Everything is not as it seems." Recently some thought eaters (2)(XPH) were smuggled into Sharn from Adar. Now only one person knew there was a second- the lead researcher. One night, he and an Aberration ally let the trained eaters go. The aberration then used a whistle to instruct the eaters to terrorize the weak Kalashtar( see other versions of "Weak Kalashtar" for why). The eaters were a way to disable the possesed for later interrogation, but the use was obviously perverted. A quori Nightmare( the lead researcher), has decided it is time to give up with the souls, and go straight for the kill- Destroying all of the Inspired, and eventually leading to the attack on Riedra. How does he plan about doing this? Aberrations! you see, he has delved a bit too much into Xoriat-lore, and several (By several I mean as many as I can count.. possibly alling with some of the daelkyr, but that is background stuff). Of course a number of the more impatient Atavists have decided this could ba a good way to accomplish the goal( In RoE read the line about Atavists possibly losing sight of the light). Now aside from the obvious goal, the quori nightmare is also believing those Kalashtar who do not help him are weak, and may as well be serving the Quori. The high seer in Sharn (the 12th level guy) was recently killed for this His current Machination is to use an army of Grell (Found in Sharn) to destroy everything in the city- guess who are the only people who can stop him? Now normally the PC wouldn't take this so personal, but Kalashtar blood has fallen at the hands of a Kalashtar, and that is wrong. So how's that for a baisic outline? Questions, concerns, praise?
