12-16-04, 09:37 PM No, the crummy little plastic things WotC puts out for the DDM don't count. It ain't a real gaming mini unless its made of good old fashioned metal.

I would put it up in here, but since image tags are disabled, I'm just going to link over to the thread on the minis board. Yes, this is shameless self promotion, but I just finished the little guy, and I wanna show him off :D

12-16-04, 10:30 PM Anyone whose ever played miniature games besides the D&D miniatures can tell you that half the fun is often in painting and converted one's own figures.

I've bought and painted Reaper miniatures too, though I use them for D&D figures, not whatever it is they were originally planned for.

They're just produced as fantasy minis. For playing D&D with, for painting and looking at, whatever floats your boat.

All us old timers, we didn't need no stinking instructions on how to play with minis! And we had to walk uphill in the snow to get them! :P

01-11-05, 05:20 PM Hey guys, I'd just like to ressurect this one long enough to say that I finally got around to fully finishing the mini.

I had been stumped on what to make the base look like, and just let it sit around for a while. Well, I decided what to do with it, sculpted what needed sculpting, finished it up, and boom, its done.

Thats the finished product (although you can see some bigger images of the back and top if you follow the link in the first post to the thread over in Mini Painting and Modelling).

I think it came out really nice, if I do say so myself! :P
