I am running a two person campaign. I am going to use a story from the inquisitor about murders being linked to murders. The set up is the two pc's are in buisness with and npc warforged named Bender. They are a security company...one pc (human) makes locks npc(bender) is a metal smith and the second pc (changling) tests the security of other buisnesses (with or without their approval to be decided). A hooded acolyte is handing out "religious" pamplets and for the pc's they more or less ignore(hopefully) Bender, being a warforged, goes in search of his meaning and is killed. The gaurd not really caring what happens to lower middle class n middle dura, does nothing but files a report. The pc's then begin tacking their way through limited contacts learning enough to be beaten and warned to stay away. I use this as a stimulus for them to begin advancing in heroic classes. I had them start with a level in expert from Unearthed Arcana and a level of Racial Paragon. I will give a shout out to the creator of the Eberron Paragons as soon as I can find the link I was sent...Mad Props yo!
