The ECS says on the look of aberrant marks "At a quick glance, an aberrant mark could be mistake for an established dragonmark, but on close inspection its differences are readily apparent."

While this could be interpreted many different ways as to what aberrant marks really look like, I thought I would draw out what I think one might look like.

In this case I drew this aberrant mark (http://img6.photobucket.com/albums/v20/KCDinc/Abbmark.gif) that resembles the mark of scribing. Indeed at a quick glance it does look like the standard scribing mark. But like the descritpion says just by looking at you can see the differences in color, style, and overall marking.

So is this how anyone else pictured an aberrant mark looking like? The most obvious other interpretation to me is that aberrant marks resemble no one mark, but are similar in their pattern to marks in general.

I wish i could say there were Aberrant Dragonmarks soon to be revealed, but I have no such knowledge... I will say that my own view of them is a lot more chaotic looking than your lovely and contained pointillist version. :)

I see them as broken streaks of abalone and whorls of scar tissue. Some without a real "center', and sprawling like odd sometimes broken notation across a back or down a limb. Were i not up-past-my-head working on the mighty Hellcow's web site, i'd be sorely tempted to show you what i mean.

All best,
Lee
