Need help creating a link to the Stillborn [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-03-05, 07:40 PM Ok, here's the situation. My players have been targeted by the Emerald Claw and the upper tier of the Blod of Vol because of their meddeling. (gotta love that) Here's my problem. Their investigation has taken alot less time than I anticipated and I'm affraid that they are going to make their way to the top of the Blood of Vol looooong before they are ready. I have a way to turn their attention towards Aerenal if I have to and I'm looking for likely scenarios linking the Stillborn to the Blood of Vol without giving it all away. Maybe turning them towards that cathedral in Karrnath after that. Keep in mind that they are currently level 12 and would likely try to rush in and take on Vol herself if they knew she was still around and I really want to avoid a total party wipe if possible. :)

11-03-05, 08:11 PM In my campaign, the Aereni Ambassador to Breland (can't recall her name) and Mayne Jhaelian, High Priest of the Undying Court, are both intimiately involved with the Stillborn (Jhaelian through his family line -- the younger Jhaelians form the core ofthe Stillborn). Perhaps you could prod your PCs in the direction of Sharn and then on through the Jhaelian line. That could pose an interesting situation in Aereni lands, though -- some Undying Councilors are at least as powerful as Vol.
