After watching the opening movies for FF12 and the you tube movie for the online version of final fantasy got me thinking of a good intro scene for the players. Starts off with a fierce battle on the Cyran border as Karrnathi forces battle beleagured Cyran forces with the Karrns aided by elements of House Lyrandar three civilian airships loaded with evacuees and injured who could reach the ships in time flee the battle only to have to turn and flee across the Talenta Plains as the destruction of Cyre happens. Karrnathi stormships shoot down one of the airships and leads to some survivors being left stuck on the Talenta Plains... The scene then shifts to a hill overlooking Falcon's Hollow and the sound of running footsteps as a figure runs into view and down the hill towards the settlement below shortly after pursued by several grey skinned humanoids (ghouls). The figure runs to te only church in the settlement set near the base of the hill with someone at the gate sweeping. The acolyte sees the figure running towards him and whats pursuing her, runs inside and slams the gate shut locking it as she arrives banging at the gate as its clear she's carrying another adventurer this one very badly hurt and motionless. Turning to face her pursuers she uses her dragonmark to dimension leap to the other side of the gate and to safety however the church doesn't particularly like her anymore than the ghouls... My question is, is this too much? Does a Least dragon mark of passage work like this carrying someone? And have any advice on how I can do this better? |

Okay what I should have asked was is Q'barra the best place to place Falcon's Hollow from the new scenarios releases by Paizo? D0: Hollow's Last Hope and D1: Crown of the Kobold Kings specifically (the rest I've yet to check out). I've been wondering on pregenerating characters but was hoping for some advice especially on that short story introduction I mentioned in the previous message. So would this work? What kind of characters should I pregenerate for this kind of campaign idea? I was looking at a Warforged commoner turned Fighter, a Cyran warrior turned Ranger, a Brelish Aristocrat turned Rogue, a Gnomish Expert turned Artificer, a Aundairean Expert turned Wizard and perhaps a Shifter Adept turned Druid... what do you think? Too elaborate? Am I going too far again? |
