xstormtrooperx 06-27-07, 11:08 AM	Hello, my PCīs failed spectaculary. Over the course of the adventure 4 of them died (some were ressurected). Before they could stop the EC they left the giant ruins and returned back to Stormreach, to regroup and for resurrection. When they returned (weeks later) the EC guys were gone and with them the schemas / Xulo. What could happen after this? I left this really open, they donīt know what was happening (they suspect Xulo to be some giant warforged as they noticed the tracks outside the temple). What would the EC do with Xulo in your campaign? Would Xulo work together with the EC? PS: Meantime we started Eyes of the Lich Queen (the Pcīs are in Qībarra in the Jungle Temple).
Amaril 06-27-07, 03:27 PM	I have a few questions for you. Why did you start Eyes of the Lich Queen with so much unresolved? (see next questions) What did Elaydren do/say about it? Has Merrix learned about this? What have you determined would be Xulo's ambitions once whole? Is he part of the giant construct in the vault? What have you determined to be Xulo's perspective regarding warforged? Have you considered how the Godforged might react to hearing rumors related to this? What are some of the intelligent items Xulo has created or will create?

I guess she would be really upset, if she becomes aware of the pcīs whereabouts. 3. I guess. The player characters never returned to Sharn after they failed. Because I want to play and had so far not decided what to do with these plotlines Iīd choosed to slide in another adventure til I have a plan. 4. I think, he would learn as much as he can about the new, changed world. Later he would fall back to his old agenda. I found this combat encounter in the end too stupid. He just reawakened an tries to gain infomation, possbible allies and then strikes! 5. Sure. His "mobile platform". ;) 6. undecidet yet. 7. not really. I donīt have read much of them so far. 8. donīt know Much of the questions you are questioning me, are the cause why I am writing here and asking! What could be Xulos long term goal? Would he use his primitive wf body? Would he ally with the EC? Or with the Lord of blades if he becomes aware oh him? How does Merrix react if he becomes aware of the pcīs failure? 6.
Amaril 06-27-07, 06:10 PM	The reason I asked you those questions was because it's your campaign. We can't really dictate to you how much of a serious impact this can have. Given the severity of it all, I'd say Elaydren might hire some House Tharask bounty hunters to track down the PCs. They've broken her trust, and she won't let this rest. The Lord of Blades will definitely be interested since Scimitar was acting on his behalf. Merrix will definitely be in the picture, too. Personally, I think running Eyes of the Lich Queen so soon and without immediate consequences from the results of dropping the ball doesn't really work for maintaining verisimilitude in the campaign. By the way, what happened to Muroni or her patron? You could consider making the patron in EotLQ the same as Muroni's. He might coerce them into dealing with their incomplete mission.
xstormtrooperx 06-28-07, 06:56 AM	Believe me, the verisimilitude will be maintained. The idea with the bounty hunters is nice. I think the adventure will soon become a little bit more dangerous. The pcīs had already a too easy time clearing the temple (have 6 player characters). From the old PC group only two characters survived, the others are from stormreach (who were recruited by the PCīs themselves or Muroni). One of this characters is now an npc (and still in Stormreach) because his player left gaming. The other (who is Level 8) is now with this partly new group in the temple in Qībarra. When they return to adderport, they will strike I think. The reason I asked here, is that the adventure left really open what happens if the pcīs fail. I think they arenīt even guilty for breaking the contract. 4 of them were killed in the course of the adventure. They retreated to gather strength, but I decided the emerald claw finds itīs way in the secret chamber in the meantime (from Stormreach to the ruins and back takes at least 10 days... even if the did not rest and resurrect somenone - and begin crafting items :mad: ). Muroni urged the PCīs to stay, that she can watch to unfold the prophecy around them. When they decided to go, Muroni stayed. They never met her again since this. I think the EC would have killed her or captured her.
