| Torgrim05-10-05, 01:33 AM | Okay, here it goes. I just started up a game in Eberron this past Sunday. Mind you, this is the first game I have ran in the setting (we usually play in my homebrew world). Currently the party is in the service of Morgrave University (the game is based in Sharn). Here is the party: Nelan, CG Human male Artificer 1 Str 9 Dex 10 Con 10 Int 18 Wis 10 Cha 18 Daegon, N Kalashtar male Bard 1 (has plans to multi-class with Psion later) Str 10 Dex 10 Con 12 Int 18 Wis 10 Cha 17 Marista, CG Human female Sorcerer 1 Str 8 Dex 14 Con 16 Int 12 Wis 10 Cha 18 Aust, CG Half-Elf male Psion-Telepath 1 (dragonmarked member of house Thuranni) Str 8 Dex 14 Con 12 Int 19 Wis 10 Cha 14 (We use a modified point buy system to build characters in my games) The characters work as relic hunters/ruin mappers for Morgrave. Beyond that, what are some other adventure types that would work well for this mix of a group. Also, what are some good creature types for them to encounter and defeat. Typically, these guys run all fighter or rogue types and the guy who plays the artificer typically runs a wizard or cleric type. So, they tend to be a bit combative, even with these characters. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Any help is greatly appreciated. Well, a quick note: half-elves cannot have the Mark of Shadow. Although half-elves are commonly members of human and elven Houses, the are always amongst the unmarked portion of the House. The prereqs on the feat clearly state that you have to be both the proper race and a member of the House, not one or the other. Other than that, it looks like a fun group. You say they get combative with this bunch? Wow. They seem better suited to social situations and solving mysterys. I'd start slow with the encounters and show them that they can't do that with these guys. Good adventure types would be anything that includes getting information. The lowest Charisma in the group is the 14, and he's a telepath! Lots more city-adventures than wilderness and dungeons. Adventures that involve traveling somewhere to defeat a big foe are just out of the question. Good creatures for them to deal with would be humanoids that they can interact with rather than fight toe-to-toe. Bad creatures for them to encounter will be anything mindless that cannot be reasoned with or controlled via telepathy. |
