I'm preparing for a rather unusual session:

- single adventure (not a campaign)
- single player (experienced, but first time in Eberron)
- play-by-forum (that means much time for preparations)
A player of mine

Player is going to play 9th level paladin-esque dwarf. He is a leader of a small order/cult (Leadership) of dwarves worshiping "Moradin" (not-an-Onatar). He wishes to establish a temple in Sharn to gather further fallowers.

I need some ideas:
- How would Sharn react to this "strange endevour"? (I'm especially interested in reactions of City Council, Church of Sovereign Host and criminal organizations)
- Just how much money do you need to build a medium-sized temple in Sharn? (including land prices)
- Any other ideas?

I think picking up a copy of "Sharn City of Towers" Sourcebook might prove useful in regards to the legalities and cost.

As far as how people would react to it, I think that depends on you and the agendas of your NPC's. You will also find in SCoT a number of NPC write up's that may further assist you with answering the above questions.

Hope that helps.

Now, as far as I am concerned Sharn is cosmopolitan enough that potentially nothing could happen.

But that sure would be boring.

I could easily see this "new fangled" religion first struggling but once it takes off this thing really flies. While not traditionally associated with corruption, perhaps a few Sovereign Host clerics get a might bit upset with this new "Khyber Cult" and begins to attempt a sabotage. A few mislead adventurers raiding the church, break some stained glass, burn an altar, maybe kill your Paladin's ... love/mother/son/whatever, he gets a little revenge quest? Have fun with it.
