If you have the book (or you name is Hellcow) I request some information.

I will not get my hands on the book until next Friday but I am playing one Tomorrow. A Warforged Bar6 what was magically "sucked" into FR. Even got the Promo mini since I preordered it.

Just a couple of general answers would help greatly, unless they break some NDA.

Gender(s)?

Age Catagories? (Do they die of old age?)

Height Formula?

Weight Formula?

How do the rules for fixing oneself work?

Has anything changed from Dragon 318?

That should cover it for this ONE game that I will not have the book.

TIA and have a great weekend.

I don't have the book, but I'm a bastard when it comes to absorbing useless facts. :D

1: Warforged are designed gender neuter. However, most associate more or less with one or another gender.

2: This is from an earlier post by the generous NiTessine: 5'10" base, +2d6 inches, 270 lb. base + inces mod. x 4 lb.

3: I believe certain Craft checks (armorsmithing, metalsmithing, etc.) work (an 8 hour check repairs a certain number of HPs- can't find the thread that mentions how much), as well as the spells mentioned in the Dragon issue.

4: I dunno; as far as I know, the Dragon issues is as printed in the book.

First off, thanks for replying.

Everything is mostly self explanatory, but what is 'inces mod'?.

Would still be nice to have a better understanding of the repair options.

Thanks again.

"Inces Mod", or "inches mod" (my mispelling, sorry) means that you take the number you rolled for inches and multiply by 4, like the standard races do in the D&D book.

I'm still looking for the info on repairing warforged- it's in the "I have it" thread somewhere. I'll post it if I find it, along with the name of whoever posted it originally.

A Craft check to repair a warforged takes 8 hours and repairs 1 hp for every point the check exceeds DC 15. You can take 10, but not take 20. A character with Craft Construct can repair constructs besides Warforged, but without that feat, you can only do this to Warforged. Applicable skills include armorsmithing, blacksmithing, gemcutting, and sculpting.

Also, warforged recieve half healing from healing spells, unless your are taking the full contruct feat (sorry, cant remeber the name of it, but it's around here somewhere). So the roll from healing spell cast on a warforged is halved, rounded down I believe.

Hope this helps.

The feat that removes all effect from healing spells is Improved Fortification. The benefit is immunity to sneak attacks and to extra damage from critical hits.
