Okay, the more of these things that come out, the more I like Eberron. I mean, just reading this article actually made me want to play a Half-Elf. The proverbial red-headed stepchild of D&D (at least the Half-Orc makes a good fighter...), they at least have enough flavor here in Eberron to be worth using. :)

Tho what I meant was that I was asking for a better In Game term than "half-elf", KB wasn't there at the time.

But apparently, it took place over the weekend while I was at Dragon*Con, so I couldn't have attended that one even if I had wanted to.

09-07-04, 11:31 PM I must say this is the best dragon shards article to date. I was very pleased and surprised to read this today. Not only that, but a half elf sorceror will be joining my online game and this is perfect for him.

I always felt sad for Half -elves and this makes it seem like there really is a place in society for them, unlike in regular Dnd where they were generally never accepted by anyone and just regularly loners of both worlds.

I can't wait to see an article on the Warforged, or Half orcs for that matter.

Humans will do it with anything! It's better than our bonus first level feat!

09-07-04, 11:47 PM I really liked how this DS article really rationalized the 1/2 elf bonus to diplomacy. I always had the "Tanis" 1/2 elf paradigm in mind when playing dnd, but this just opens up a whole new RP medium!
