| Sir Elton05-06-06, 01:10 AM | I thought of running an Eberron Campaign sometime in the future. *Scions of the Last War* was killed by a misunderstanding. So lets see some things I expect: * I want players to get away from "my Character is an Engineering Project" mindset for this future campaign. I want people to focus on the background of their character and not worry to much about their character's future. So, if you are a Kalashtar from Adar, play a Kalashtar from Adar. You are visiting a strange, new culture such as Breland. Tell me you want to play that up, and I'll play that up. Even to the detail of what people eat in Breland, and how they dine. For this campaign, I'd like 4 Dimensional Characters, and I'm willing to pay the price for it. * The duelist PrC will be left out, but I have some d20 Technology that can compensate for the disappearance of the Duelist, as well as add some flavor to a Kalashtar Soulknife, or a generic monk [ Blood and Fists, anyone?]. * The game isn't going to be all that high powered. Remember, Eberron is designed not to be high powered (the Coolness factor is still there, I think). Thankfully, the NPCs haven't overrun the world system yet. * Psionics will still be a factor. * Note, though, I'll still use Advanced d20 Magic from GoO. I like the alternative magic system, a lot. However, due to some "problems" that one former player kept bringing up, Ad20M will be used with a Spell Point system. No, I won't be providing a complete copy. I can set up an SRD, if GoO hasn't already done so. * Note, that my job for running an Eberron Game is complex as it is for any other DM. I won't tolerate player "bullying." This includes complaining about any new subsystem I introduce constantly even when I propose a "fix" to keep the game running. Especially when I ignore half the rules already. * I want my game to be fun for me as it is for you. Note, I feel disaffected with D&D at the moment, because the last D&D game I ran, I hardly had any fun. But I'm willing to run a D&D/d20 game in the future. Eberron isn't all that bad. I still want to support the World. When people understand that what I'm looking for is a heightened fun factor with all of these additions, we should be able to get along fine. |

You're just "sharing" your vision? The whole point seems to be almost an advertisement for your next game. Seriously, I'm not flaming you, but I am curious as to if you're looking for feedback, or if not, what your intent is here. Thanks. DW |

These message boards aren't a notebook. By the way, why are you taking out the Duelist prestige class? IMO, that seems like removing the lightsaber from a Star Wars RPG campaign. |
