| krappleby12-10-04, 06:33 AM | Hi All, I have been playing D&D for 15-18 years, DM'ing most of that time, in the world of Forgotten Realms, and have recenly purchased the ECS to read and to change my known realm. I am currenly reading the book for the second time, as i like to get a better knowledge of the setting before i begin the campaign. i am wanting to start a campaign containing 6 players. i already have found one, and am looking for antoher 5. are you interested.. if so pay a visit to our webstie, (simple site, but gets the point across) and read up the rules of the game.. i am still working on the backgorund story, but if your inteterested let me know Cheers cheers Keith appleby http://www.eberron-online.com |
| rwarner370112-10-04, 08:47 AM | i really like to join, but i have some questions this is 3.5 right? the webpage title is confusing i know you said only PHB and ESB but http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20041114b&page=2 they look really cool and i think they would fit. not sure about a class, possibly moving towards loremaster well i have to go to work so ill think more about it and be back in about 12 hours thanks |
| TranquilDarkness12-10-04, 09:59 AM | Is it an online game or do you have some tabletop secured somewhere? ;) |
| LazarusX12-10-04, 10:30 AM | Actually; yes...I'm a virgin online D&D'er. Never done it; always been tabletop; so I'm hoping someone will assist me in popping the perverbial cherry ;) So lemme know if this is online. |
| krappleby12-10-04, 11:08 AM | TranquilDarkness Is it an online game or do you have some tabletop secured somewhere? It all depends.. I do have two other players in the nethelrnads who could play, but wether travel would be in teh mind of you guys, is your choice.. I live in the top end of Flevoland.. So i dont know what your travel distance is.. If there are enough interested then its a possibility for table top. otehrwise online will be the solution |

| zerotkatama12-10-04, 02:12 PM | I don't mean to be dense but are you allowing XPH? |
| krappleby12-10-04, 02:56 PM | Now im going to be dense... XPH??? :) |
| Deanel12-10-04, 03:13 PM | Now im going to be dense... XPH??? :) Expanded psionics handbook. Seems like a nice game l'll write an e-mail tomorrow. |
| krappleby12-10-04, 03:22 PM | i have never ran or played a game that uses psionics. so if you wish to use psionics, i would need to check up on them first.. to refresh on the idea cheers |
| zerotkatama12-10-04, 06:06 PM | Check out the Psionics section of the SRD. No fluff, but plenty of crunch. |
| rwarner370112-10-04, 08:41 PM | sorry, the link should work but doesn't go to previews, races of destiny, illumians i am going to get the book as soon as i have a chance to go buy it but i think they have a +1 level adjustment i'm thinking wizard/loremaster although that may change depending on the race of my character i live in North America, so id vote online game |
| Erix d'Pheer12-10-04, 09:55 PM | If it's not too late, and assuming that this is, as I think, an online game, I would really, really like to join. [edit] Sent a request via email with my character's bio that is, if I may say so, quite good. Oh, and I'm in North America too, so it'd be online for me. [edit again] And I'm an elf artificer, by the way. |

| hippi12-11-04, 03:37 PM | It sounds like fun. I'll start working on a character. But do you also limit the classes. for example if I may use complete warrior or complete divine? And it is a 1st level party you are starting right? |
| krappleby12-11-04, 04:22 PM | first level charactesr, no limit to class as long as they fall to the ECS or the PHB |
| fuindordm12-12-04, 04:16 AM | Possible Times will be either.... mon, tue 8.30pm to 1am at the most GMT +1 fri from 8.30pm to 3-5am GMT +1 sat 2pm to 3-5am GMT +1 sun 2pm to 1am GMT +1 Wow. There's no way I could commit to this kind of a marathon session! 2-3 hour sessions would be the max for me. Sorry, Ben Mathiesen |
| hiryuu12-12-04, 04:28 AM | Five hours isn't a marathon. That's average for my group. Fourty-eight hours, now that's a marathon session. |
| hippi12-12-04, 11:09 AM | Just one thing. Which system do you use to calculate the ability scores. |
| fuindordm12-12-04, 05:53 PM | Five hours isn't a marathon. That's average for my group. Fourty-eight hours, now that's a marathon session. The first one wasn't bad, but the others I find pretty darn long. Dang, I wish I still had the free time for that sort of thing! Ben |
| Pharun12-12-04, 10:03 PM | I would like to play if there are any spots left. |
| Erix d'Pheer12-12-04, 11:07 PM | Just in case anyone here makes the same mistake I almost made... if you want to join, post here, but also go to the website krappleby posted and send him a request with bio. Just look around his site, it's not that big, read all the rules, and send in your thing. Apparently krappleby is a DM who demands high quality and effort from his players. I say this because it almost didn't occur to me to do so, and I don't think expressing interest here is enough. Sorry if this was obvious, but I just wanted to make sure everyone's clear. |

Heck yeah, but i'm still gonna try and apply, if he demands that much effort, then it surly he must be a grand DM indeed. |
| krappleby12-21-04, 05:10 AM | HI all, thought i would post a comment on the progress. Currently i have three players already chosen.. two of which can be seen on the site, the third will be added shortly. As for your comments. The first one wasn't bad, but the others I find pretty darn long. Dang, I wish I still had the free time for that sort of thing! The game will last approximately 3-6 hours ,depending on the day and the session.. IT will fall between the hours stated, but will not be all the hours stated. They are only the times i have avialble.. Just one thing. Which system do you use to calculate the ability scores The used system, is 4d6 reroll 1 remove lowest, however all stats will be rolled infront of DM, we do not want any overpowering Players. Heck yeah, but i'm still gonna try and apply, if he demands that much effort, then it surly he must be a grand DM indeed. I am happy to see that people believe in my skills, However there are two reasons for the long bio.. I cannot abide with people who are going to show up willy nilly, or people who do not wish to make the effort to make the game exciting as well as a pleasurable experiance for both players and the DM, im sick of people who come once, and disappear. The background provides me with a bio for your character, it tells me what to expect, and how to act according to your characters way of thinking and working. how to incorporate your character. Also. if a player cannot be bothered with writing up a 500 word background for his character, then i can not be bothered allowing them to join the game. The commitment needed, will be demanding, there will be no : sorry i canot make it (especially when a time is pre arranged, BY ALL): I can also see your abilities to play. by reading your background. meanign that there will be no ammatures, who dont have a clue joining the campaing, Unless they provide a really exiting and well thought out character. Thus making a better role playing experiance. Thanks |
