This thread might get moved to Future Releases, but I just noticed that Amazon has a new Eberron sourcebook listed as coming out in Sept. - Faiths of Eberron. Can't wait.

Cool, here's hoping they don't screw it up! :D

Yeah, I hope they don't turn Eberron into the Forgotten Realms. FR was too religion based, and I like the current amount of detail that the setting provides. (Enough, but not too much)

They're trying awful hard, ain't they?

Great. I hope they also include some good info on druids as well. I've found most sources on them lacking in the detail that has been given to other sections. Plus it'll be nice to see how certain churches function and how the base their belief systems.

It's nice to know there's at least one web site where we can get info about Wizards' planned releases.

Excellent, Faiths of Eberron is just the sourcebook we need :)
I would have been better to hear from WotC, but they seem to be forgetting to update the product pages until the products are a month or two away.

Unlike some vocal members here I don't hate FR... (here comes the relevance to this thread...)

However, slaving everything to the dieties (post time of troubles) really annoyed me. I disliked Dragonlance for that.

So I appreciate a gameworld where you're not obligated to kowtow to diety in order to avoid being stuffed into a wall...

Sweet :) I've been waiting for this one since I first got my grubby paws on the ECS. The religions of Eberron are cool and distinct enough to make this a darned fine book. Not to mention making up for leaving the divine goodies out of MoE.

Eh, you'll see me get really excited when they announce the "Book of Dragonmarked Houses" and "Empire of Dhakaan."

Still, might be really cool. Hope it is!

Cheers,

Of course I'm in the process of working out possible designs of temples and rituals of all of the Host and Six for my game. It is only fitting that now WotC is going to put out the information and make all of my stuff wrong. :P

Let's cross our fingers and hope for depictions of the holy symbols for each of the Host and Six.

I'd also like to see a few more variations of the Silver Flame, like the one the barbarians of the Demon Wastes follow.

Mmmmmm, religion.

Just to be nitpicky, but the Tribes of the Wastes don't worship the flame.
It's the Orcs just outside of the Waste that do...

Right. I wasn't referring to the Carrion Tribes, I definitely meant the guardian-types that keep the evils of the Wastes from wandering out of them. I haven't read that section of the ECS in quite a while, and never used them much, so I didn't realize they were all orcs.

Nonetheless, I distinctly remember that they serve a force/entity that some sages consider another aspect of the Silver Flame. And that's what I want to see...

This is exactly what I am hoping will be included. Also maybe some organizatiosn connected to Relgion, Like the 'Swords of Dol Dorn'. Maybe even some nice PrCs for NPCs. Boldrei has a heavy following among the NPCs of Sharn, espically in the High Hopes district, I am sure she will get some attention.

The Silver Flame is fine, but I want to see more on the Blood of Vol. How it started and what people thought of it previous to Kaius's tranformation and expulsion of the Emerald Claw.

The Deathless Councilers, Dark Six, and hopefully alot more will be here with the Dragon Below Cult.

I wonder if the Chamber and Lords of Dust will be included. Too bad Wizards wouldn't make a specific "Organizations of Eberron" collecting information and using helpful plot introductions. Afterall intrigue is a big part of any Eberron campaign.

Your stuff isn't wrong for your campaign because Wizard releases new info. Heck, please post the desgins for us to see. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Uh, you're both right. There are two types of barbarian tribes in the Demon Wastes, the Carrion Tribes and the Ghaashkala. The Ghaashkala worship Kalok Shash (sp?), which is the another manifestation of the Silver Flame and guard the Labyrinth, which is in the Demon Wastes. They're mostly orcs, but includes half-orcs, humans, shifters, etc in some of the clans.

Ohh, how cool is that...how long have we been hoping for this book? lets hope they read what we wished for in that book in the old threads.....YEAH :D ;) :)
