Tent-boat: 100gp, 30 lb The tent-boat, when folded up, fits on your back, and can be used as the frame for a frame backpack. It may be unfolded into a tent configuration: waterproof, and very snug for two Medium creatures and their gear. It may be also unfolded into a somewhat unsteady canoe. The canoe can fit two Medium creatures (again, snugly), and has the same speed as a rowboat. The tent-boat can be manipulated into any configuration in 5 minutes, which can be cut in half with a helper. It is a very, very bad idea to wear armor spikes while piloting a tent-boat in boat mode. Paddle-scabbard: 2gp, 1 lb The paddle-scabbard turns an ordinary greataxe or other two-handed pole weapon into a makeshift oar. Sheathing or unsheathing the weapon is a move action, as normal. Wielding a weapon with a paddle-scabbard still on it can be done, with a -2 on attack and damage, and non-lethal damage only. Goggles: 5gp, 1lb These are goggles. They are hand-crafted from re-ground sea glass, strips of gutta-percha, and a hand-carved chunk of wood to fit the contours of your face. Wearing goggles lets you see clearly underwater, although above-ground they cause a -1 penalty on Spot checks (and they look goofy). Enjoy! |
