Any thoughts? Have you looked through the Arms and Equipment Guide? There's all sorts of mundane items that could be very appropriate for Eberron. For example, snorkel and fins are included in the list, as are a portable crane and a periscope.

Low level magic can be common in Eberron but there are still more commoner and experts than magewrigth and magic is still expensive, sometimes is more convenient use a mundane crane than anyone can use than hire a magewright or buy a magic item. to make an example, today computer and elettronic devices are common, and yet someone still keep his agenda, addresses, etc. with pen and paper . (and skylifts works only in the manifest zone of Sharn, cranes works everywhere)
