| Tyveil11-29-04, 04:35 PM | I just noticed with the Eberron character sheets, there is no section to write down spells memorized/known (or even in your spellbook). Does anyone know where I can get a 1 page spell list I could append to the Eberron character sheet? Thanks. |

Doesn't seem to be much of a problem early but I can see it getting to be a problem later. I use a small handbook style tablet for my spells; and a regular piece of paper for my spellbook. On normal tablet lined paper; I write just the spell, it's level, and the corresponding book that it can be found in along with it's page #. Then; in the previously mentioned handbook; i write down the spell, it's DC(if applicable), it's Saving Throw against; Range, Duration, blah blah blah(add crunchy stuff); and then a summarized description of what the spell does. I usually play wizards instead of sorc's; so it keeps with the whole idea of flipping through the book each morning to mem the spells. I've used pregenerated character spell sheets before; but always come back to my own devices. There's just not enough room for all the crunchy stuff on 1 sheet of paper; and I hate flipping through books each time i cast a spell. Only when unique circumstances come up; do my DM and I go to the page # and check a spell's description and such. Most recently; my DM called me out on Withering Limb(Book of Vile Deeds). I was accidentally casting it on a Dire Wolf---spell is humanoid only. But; having everything written down; it only took about 30 secs to flip to the page and get the info. Hope any of this helps. |

I'd go for one that you can print directly from screen, rather than download. Gotta be careful, right? As far as I know, there's still not one for Eberron-specific things, but you can always tweak existing stuff. |
| Save-vs-DM11-30-04, 02:31 AM | I use PC Gen (a free character creation program) To make my character sheets - they have excellent output sheets - I ges a wonderful list of spells by level, with mini descriptions and check boxs for memed/cast spells. Works great And my buddy and I took the time to actually imput all the eberron stuff into our own list files, so we even managed to get stuff like warforged to work! (the body feats were a bear to figure out). Cheers, SvD |
