| MrGone04-04-05, 07:58 PM | Since being a big fan of Sin City for many years and now that the movie has come out and is more than completely phenomenal I am looking to run a more Noir type Eberron setting. Since the mods that are out are fun and pulp-like in nature they seem to lack noir-ish adventures and adventure hooks. Can anyone suggest some noir type adventures that I might be missing out on? If so where can I purchase them? |
| Save-vs-DM04-05-05, 05:05 AM | Granted, I am not the worlds formost authority on modules, but to the best of my ability I've never really seen a noir type mod. I do have a few suggestions. 1. Beg, Borrow and Steal Sin City is a great noir comic. There are also quite a few good movies. Take a look at them, and pick out the basic storyline and challengs, and simply translate them to DnD. Often a single twist is enough to throw players completely off track. 2. Check different systems. Further ideas might be found by checking other game systems and such. You might try searching for some D20 modern stuff, as they might have some noir type stuff. Sorry, I can't be more helpful, but that's about all I can think of. Cheers, Save vs DM |

There's intrigue, there's tension, there's politics, drama, betrayal, mystery, and danger. There's some high adventure aspects to it as well, mainly the "trot across the globe" feel it has as it consistently switches locations, but you've sort of got to expect that when you're tracking a fleeing fugitive. |
