I'm playing a sucpicous silver flame priest, that is a conspiracy theorist. So I am putting together a list of conspiracies that have nothing to do with the conspiracies in published material. The ones I have thought of so far:

"House Cannith is responsible for the mourning, you see they were planning on using the warforged as an army in which to conquer the kingdoms of galifar, when cyrian royality found out their plans, House cannith set off their ultimate weapon, trgering the mourning. Now all of the kingdoms live under the double threat of an army of cannith warforged that are just waiting for the proper command to rise up against their human neighbors, and a weapon capable of deystroying nations."

"The great houses are responsible for the last war. In an effort to destabalize the kingdoms of galifar, they magically compeled the various heirs to rebel."

"The valenar elves are in leauge with the hobgoblin king to restore the kingdom of goblins in order to relive the glory of their orginal war"

"The brelish queen actually controls the denziens of droam, and are planning on using them as a "neutral force" outside of her control to attack the enemies of breland and therefore circumvent the peace treaty"

Do you guys have any that you would like to share?

Those are actually pretty good.

"House Phiarlan and House Thuranni didn't really split up. Even the majority of the members are not in on it. The whole thing is a ploy to make themselves look divided, so that they can see who will try to take advantage of them via this 'weak point'. Every time you hire one House or the other, all you do is tell them where your loyalties lie."

"There really isn't any such thing as a changeling. Every single one of them is a doppleganger, fully capable of reading your mind and masterfully pretending to be anyone they want. The whole idea of shapechangers with limitations is designed to make people more less paranoid. The truth is that dopplegangers are everywhere, comprising the entire race of so-call changelings, plus replacing about a quarter of the population, in addition to the numbers that are being estimated by scholars."

"The whole 'there used to be 13 moons, now there are 12' thing is a joke by astrologers. There still are 13 moons, but two of them look the same and their orbits mean that they are never out at the same time. This jest was originally meant as a small prank on King Galifar I, who was told the 'Legend of the Lost Moon' as a small child, but when the increasingly powerful king took it seriously, the sages decided to keep it to themselves. Eventually, the common belief in 13 moons was replaced by the more easily provable 12 moon theory. Now, any astrologer with the proper equipment can prove it false, but they chose not to both to avoid angering the general populace and to keep an inside joke."

For some reason I get this image of your character being a lot like Mulder. But I'm an X-Phile so.

"The Hobgoblin king foresaw the Mourning in a prophetic dream. Rather than try and get the hobgoblin mercenaries out of there, he chose to sacrifice them in exchange for carving out Draguun. Before the Mourning, he sent a liason to the Lord of Blades to discuss a potential treaty, in which one would work in, and one work out of the Mournlands, and soon the two will join forces for some alterior cause."

The daelkyr actually won the Gatekeepers and the Dragon Below are the same thing and both are dedicated to fooling the common folk into thinking that the Daelkyr were forced back into Xoriat, while those who know the truth realise that they actually just retreated to Syberis, where they control us all with PSIONIC DREAM WAVES (which can only be counteracted by tinfoil helmets, of course). The recent strange lights in the sky are evidence of new dimensional technology obtained by them. In return for advanced mind control technologyand dimensional magic, the government of is working in concert with the daelkyr to bring about a conjunction with xoriat.

A conspiracy just isn't right without [I]italics, SHOUTING and tinfoil.

you need to have him occasionally denounce actual conspiracies as bunk.

"kaius III is a vampire? that's just crazy-talk."

Make him check every room he goes into for scrying devices, and cast divinations when his paranoia spikes

"The warforged? Created souls? Malarky! They're walking eyes for House Cannith. Their wizards are merely controlling the 'forged from a safe House Cannith mansion, watching and listening to us through the eyes of what we assume to be individuals? Why are they doing this? They're trying to infiltrate Breland's capital and blackmail the King. Speaking of which..."

This is my campaign, the twelve are behind it. Thought that was pretty funny that it was one of your conspricies.

Elementals are really highly intelligent being that are willing to serve so that they become depended on, at which time they will extract heavy fees for there services.

The Royal Eyes in Aundair abduct peasants and shove them through a portal to Xoriat. It is currently a one-way portal only, but without the blood of the innocent, it will become a two-way portal, allowing the quori full access to the prime material.
Interdimensional invaders from some alternate plane called "Toril" are trying to rob us all of our sense of proportion.
More as I think of them...

"The Dragons are trying to kill off every man, woman, and child who isn't Dragonmarked! Why do you think the Dragonmarked Houses stayed out of the war so much? The Last War was to depopulate Khorvaire! Remember the Lycanthropic Purge and how it nearly turned on the shifters? Caused by the Dragons because shifters can't manifest Dragonmarks! Watch, when the next war breaks out, the Houses will say that no Dragonmarked individual is allowed to fight!"

"Why? It's all a secret war between the Dragons and the doppelgangers! Someday, if you're not Dragonmarked, it'll be enough to PROVE YOU'RE A DOPPELGANGER?"

"...are you?"

"The Inspired are the deadly agents of extraplanar beings planning on taking over Khovaire!"

Nothing like a conspiracy theorist getting it right for nobody to pay any attention

"Dragon marked houses? They are populated by real dragons, just shapechanged. How else do you think they got so powerful? Why do you think they stayed out of the Last War? It's because they started it so they could enslave the survivors.

Those marks they manifest? Nothing more than markings so they can recognise each other.

And changelings and shifters? Half dragons, the result of one of the dragons breeding with an elf or a human.

And this prophesy they keep on about is nothing more than a ploy, and excuse to enslave us all."

The power source House Cannith uses to power warforged is human souls! Why do you think they waited to start building them until the Last War? They had to wait until alot of people were dying. That's why they helped to instigate the LW, along with the other dragonmarked houses. It's all part of the houses' plot to rule the world.

Also, no army of dragons destroyed house Vol; it was the other houses. The abilities the house of Vol possessed somehow allowed them to stand in the other houses' way.

Argonessen is full of dragons? Don't tell me you actually believe that? There are people there just like us, but they've been conquered by (you guessed it) the HOUSES. The dragonmarked live a life somewhere past grossly opulent there, while everyone else live like galley slaves. Rumor has it they control Sarlona, too.
