I am curious to know how many folks online their games? I have seen a lot fo the software to do so, but I want human opinions.

Do you enjoy it?
Is it comfortable?
Do you feel part of the game?
Does the PC+software take a lot out of it?

How often to most folks play?
Do any of you play Eberron via online?

I am finding no one in my area to tabletop with, so I am considering it..but it just doesn't seem like what I am looking for, perhaps I am wrong.

It's only my fear of the unknown that holds me back.

I play Eberron games on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
I run an Eberron game on Tuesdays.
I play FR on Mondays, and probably Thursdays.

I do all of this online.

I think its fine once you get used to it, the trick is to be able to type a decent speed and not make to many ugly spelling and grammer mistakes. If u type lik tis teh game wont be enjyable.

www.dndonlinegames.com is pretty good imo. It has a thing that lets you roll the dice on the site so you don't need to hyperlink to a dice rolling site, and it also lets you have messages that only certain players can see within your post (great if you're working with a player or two on bsing the party ;))

There's usually no problem finding a game also.

Play by post, as in post and wait? That I know is not for me. But as you did not know that, thank you for at least making the offer.

I have reviewed most of the online tabletops, so I'm not worried about thoses, and sady...I type like Tek was kidding about if I'm not looking. I am a 2 finger, look at keyboard, style typer...kills me in MMORGS.

But, as this is more online paper, and not watching real time mobs rush after me, and having to hit buttons to save folks, that's not an issue...

I'm currently playing in an amazing game located right here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=427361&page=1&pp=30) on the WOTC play-by-post forums. It's not Eberron (in fact, I believe it's a converted AD&D setting), but it's a heck of a lot of fun. I'm going to be starting my own Eberron game on the forums this week.

I am waiting to start an Eberon game on MSN messenger, and a(I believe suspended for summer) homebrew CS on AIM(recenttly suggested Gametable for battles to the DM), I have wanted to try Screen Monkey(because Fractal Mapper is excellent). Fantasy Grounds has the absolute COOLEST dice roller! go to rpgnow for a free trial
