My idea is to consider Sarlona like a oriental continent, whit the possibility of mantain psionics character or not. What do u think? Sorry my bad english.... :) |

If you want, you can just ignore any or all of the fluff of a class, and look at them as a collection of BaB, Hit Dice, Saves, and Class Abilities. You can create your own fluff to support said BaB, Saves, and Class Abilities--drawing on the fluff WotC has given you, or creating your own entirely. Off the top of my head, a few ways you could incorporate the mentioned classes: Samurai - Samurai fit nigh-perfectly into the culture of the Valenar. Ancestor worship? Check. Warrior culture? Check. Fiercely honorable? Check. Swap out the Katana/Wakasashi combo for a Double Scimitar, and you're good to go. Ninja - The two Dragonmarked houses that specialize in espionage could easily employ Ninja. Maybe the Ninja ki abilities are an outgrowth of the Mark, so for the Ninja PrCs, you could require the Dragonmarked feat, or give it as a bonus feat at first level. Shugenja - Their elemental magic could be good for some sort of Eldeen Reaches sect. Ditto for a few of the monk classes from OE - Shifter Bear Warrior, anyone? |

Samurai - House Deneith is a house of mercenaries, but there may be traditions in House Deneith, certain elite warriors, that follow certain codes of conduct. The family has warrior traditions too - the samurai may be special families within the House who are descendents from the greatest warriors of the House. Do not forget about Draguun - the militantistic hobgoblins with a sense of honor about them? Bam! Break up the clans of Samurai. House Deneith could focus on the Crab, and the... uh... mounted one. Thrane may have Pheonix, while Draguun could have Scorpion and Dragon. Wu Jin seem like a special kind of battle-caster - their spell secrets work well with metamagic, so they may be magical scientists with the Twelve, Arcanum and Karnath mageschools. Xen'Drik, Q'Barra and the Eldeen Reaches are places where you might find the races from QA. The Shadow Scout seems like something well suited for aberration hunting. You might change "Clan" to something like "Class"; the Shadow Scout could be used by Ashbound to hunt mages. |

Few people even in the reaches even know they exist or just assume they are a different kind of lycanthrope. Try new templates like Bat, Hedgehog, Lizard, Snake, Hawk etc :thinks: They may have an interesting relationship with shifter and lycanthropes. Perhaps lycans come from evil pooka or shifters really come from Pooka... please pardon my delusional rambling  |

(Hence the elemental nature of it, like the dragons.) In modern times, explorers are rediscovering this old magic, but few have the nescessary dedication to learn it. Also, it might be popular with the Drow tribes. |
