| Fuego02-09-05, 04:29 PM | I have been really excited about Eberron. When I first heard about it, it was leary and didn't think too much of it. But, I read some stuff on the wizards website and thumbed through the book at the local game store. The thing is, I have no where to play it. I have some friends here that got me into playing D&D, but they have gotten really busy with school and stuff and we try to run a PBEM game, which is fun. But, I am sure they don't want to start an Eberron campaign. So, I was wondering if there is any tips out there for starting a game (preferably through email or some forum) or joining one. I haven't bought the Eberron book yet, but am planning on it once I have a need for one, which I hope is soon. |
| Darkest9002-09-05, 04:40 PM | Hey, I am one of those people that are looking for an online Eberron group as well. Play by forum, mostly. My community is devoid of D&D players, and I'd rather play from the computer anyway. Also, is there such Eberron play by forum groups that also favor good roleplaying? That's a little much to ask for, but, hey, I've read the entire book and I want to start playing. - Darkest90 |
| Reinforcements02-09-05, 07:56 PM | FUEGO! Sorry. I'd happily join an online Eberron game. The interface I most prefer would be chat. A good place is the Eberron chatroom (shock!) at psionics.net (channel #eberron). |
| motorfirebox02-09-05, 08:11 PM | shadowland (www.shadowland.org) is a roleplaying site with lots of built-in features, including a die roller and the ability to create multiple names under the same account for posting with different characters. we don't have an Eberron game on our D&D side, but i wouldn't mind trying to get one going. |
| Bluebrush02-09-05, 08:40 PM | Roleplay Online (http://www.rpol.net) is one medium I've used. |
| Edymnion02-09-05, 08:52 PM | Roleplay Online (http://www.rpol.net) is one medium I've used.Seconded, RPOL is the best place around for online D&D games of any kind. I'm in over a half dozen games there as I type (its actually open in another window so I can keep an eye on it). |
| Gurv02-09-05, 10:34 PM | Roleplay Online gets another vote from me. It has a lot of tools specially designed for gaming. I was impressed when I first saw how it was set up. There are a number of Eberron games going on already, just see if you can find one with an opening. |
| motorfirebox02-09-05, 11:20 PM | nix that last post of mine; i've started an Eberron campaign at Shadowland (www.shadowland.org). the main page for the campaign is here (http://www.shadowland.org/Planescape/Private%20Campaigns/objects/page4573.html), though you'll have to actually login to the site to do any posting. |
| motorfirebox02-18-05, 05:54 PM | we've got three slots filled--a warforged scout, a warforged rogue/swashbuckler, and a human artificer. looking for a fourth and maybe a fifth player, if anyone's interested. |
| MarkB02-18-05, 06:21 PM | Check out the Real Roleplay (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?daysprune=30&f=278) board on these very forums - there are usually several games starting up, and there's currently at least one Eberron campaign that's accepting new players. |
| motorfirebox02-18-05, 10:12 PM | hm. both rponline and the real roleplay forums seem interesting; i might give 'em a try, at some point. i like shadowland's user interface a bit better, though it does have a few glitches. |
