10-14-04, 02:50 PM I am working on a PC handout, for my group.

This keeps them from finding out things they should not, and makes the setting IMHO more exciting.

I was wondering if anyone else has done this, perhaps we can share what we have done, I am a slow typer and RE writting and para phrasing sections is slow.

Many thanks to any and all who can help.

ATM the Typed data is in word, and then I am using Publisher, to make a newsletterish handout.

On the same document I also list the countries, who the main inhabitants are, what dragonmark houses have bases of operations there, and other power groups. It is all pretty basic, but if you're interested I could email it to you.

Would WOTC, have a problem with me posting this for the other GMs?

It has some straight text from the ECS, a lot is reworded to shorten and/or leave things hanging. It will cover Player needed info, a short look at each of the nations, some general knowledge about the main cities (this will be very brief, as each player will know differing amounts), less details on the "monster" nations.

Also adding some history and popular gossip about other places on Eberron.

This is in no means to replace the ECS, just a players pack, to help keep setting info that is GM only from them.

I want my players to know a lot about home, a little around that, the major ports and cities of Khorvaire, the nations that are "accepted" because of the Thronehold Treaty, and the rest they learn and find out for themselves.

Gossip and rumor will run rampant, but the will have to sift through this to find the grains of knowledge.

So, if WOTC will let me I'll share what I have, I'll send it to them first if the want. If not I'll keep it for my self and players.

I posted the help request on the player pack in 3 message boards, here and two yahoo groups. The first post from yahoo was you can NOT do that it is copyright and you should not ask. I think that is the Lawyer Effect that has swept out nation.

The idea is to make something to help GMs not to take away from WOTC.

So please let me know, if it can be given to other GMs means I have to work more on the format and such. ATM the data is in a word file, very far from being done I type slow, and I only format in Publisher where I make the handouts.

I just hope I'm not breaking all kinds of copyright laws by "distributing" this thing. Oh well... ;)

That would be excellent...

Just make sure it's nothing too detailed... as in... nothing ripped right out of the ECS, verbatim or slightly paraphrased... might get in legal trouble.
