I have a player that wants to acquire a shifter braid that effectively gives him the beasthide shifter trait. Basically, he would like the shifter braid to be made with bull's strength and barkskin, which ends up equating to the beasthide trait (he even suggestively named it beasthide braids). What would be an appropriate price for this item to not be too powerful at a cost that's too low?

Also, I have another player who inquired about shifter braid versions of various potions. What would the cost be for such items, and is there anything overpowering in such an item? I know it's one use, but the swift (effectively free) activation when shifting seems much more liberating than the standard action to drink a potion.

It's Bear's endurance, not bull's strength. Those prerequisite spells would be okay though.

Honestly, without getting RoE out and reverse engineering prices, I would simply say "Price it like a potion". The swift action vs. standard action is balanced by being tied to a limited racial ability, as opposed to being usable at will by anybody.
