Cromag 02-24-07, 03:30 PM	Ok, Lets say I'm a human cleric from Karrnath that follows the dragon above and one of my buddies dies. Well I can animate dead, I can raise dead, I can also make them deathless. On top of that I'm not into the whole -only elves- should be deathless. I know what happens with the first two, what about the third? Deathless are intelligent, charismatic, and all that stuff. Soooo Does he become what's listed in the ECS book in the monster section? Does he gain a template and proceed as normal, if so is there a level adjust? or does his sould cease to exist and he is replaced by some gimpy NPC wearing his skin like a new suit? Thanks for any help -added the notation Dragon above can choose a random domain. However I could also just make up a religion and choose it. "I worship the cyle of energy death and rebirth made flesh upon this shattered land" I now choose death and deathless as my domains. the long and short is I don't care about the undying court, and I don't want to discuss their relation to creating deathless (that is being discussed in another thread).
RogueElement 02-24-07, 05:35 PM	How do you make him deathless, I thought the only way to get Create Deathless was with the Deathless domain which only goes to Undying Court clerics?

If you're already willing to rewrite something major like that then why are you having such trouble deciding what should happen with it? Do whatever you want. You already are. In my opinion Deathless are very unsuitable for being PCs. Of course I'm one of those people that doesn't let players be vampires, or lycanthropes etc.

You already are. While I don't agree with the rest of the post, this is definitely right on. Personally, I can't place deathless anywhere else than with Aerenal. There is no template for deathless. If you want one, go for the necropolitan - it's in Libris Mortis - and change it to deathless. It's the one with the least specific flavour.
Korhal IV 02-28-07, 03:21 AM	I believe the Deathless first appeared in Book of Exalted Deeds, so you might want to check out that book.
