naturax 07-11-07, 03:19 PM	Am I reading the description of Red Dragon's Blood correctly? Does it imply that every single time I take a single dose of Red Dragon's Blood I have to make a DC 22 Will save or else take 8d6 damage? On S:CoT pg. 160 it states that the Overdose section for each drug is supposed to list "what constitutes an overdose" but for Dragon's Blood it just says the save and the damage. I know in the middle of page 161 it says "Note that any use of dragon's blood can potentially lead to an overdose, provided the user fails a Will save." Which SHOULD answer my question pretty clearly, but it doesn't make SENSE to me. Doesn't an overdose mean you're taking more than a single dose? How can I overdose on a single use of any drug? Shouldn't it say something like for each dose you take beyond the first there is a 10% chance you'll overdose?

GrimAlchemist 07-11-07, 04:44 PM	I think the rules for drugs and overdosing were discussed in the Book of Vile Darkness, but I lost that particular book and don't have much desire to try and find it. If you could get access to it though, look in there.
TiwazTyrsfist 07-12-07, 05:35 PM	So, overdose implies that you have gone over YOUR tolerance for a drug. Thus, depending on your metabolism, weight, and past usage, a single standard dose may be an overdose for you, or vise versa you may be able to take a triple dose and not feel it. Although, it would make more sense if it was a fortitude save rather than will.
Jorda_The_Knight 07-12-07, 07:15 PM	I think what the particular drug implies is that it is extremely dangerous to take, even a small amount or a single dose is more than a typical humanoid body could stand. Yeah and Fort save seems to make more sense, but whatcha gonna do :P
