Ok, bear with me...cuz this one follows no known rules.
But, through a rather unexpected combination of circumstances, I have a PC who lost his arm..who then replaced it with the recently severed arm of the Half-Dragon Mummy in "Eyes of the Lich Queen", and I ruled that it has successfully attached, and is now a living/unliving part of him.

The particulars of HOW this occurred aren't really the issue for me atm. It happened, I allowed it, and the story and RP of the scene was fantastic.

Now...that strangeness aside, I'm wondering exactly how to rule the functioning and future effects, of this bizarre turn of events.

Do I run it like a Graft? Undead? Draconic? Both?!?

Do I have the necromantic energies slowly transform him? What of the Draconic?
And, to make matters worse, the poor guy was a Shifter Druid before this happened. Certainly won't be welcomed back to the grove with that twisted thing attached.

Finally, all this happened in that funky Dragon Altar room which bestows Aberrant Dragonmarks on the PCs.

Hell..considering we're laying down a mark, and he's got Necromantic and Draconic energies going through him...I'd make him number one on Vol's Who's Who list, and slap him with the Mark of Death.

But we don't really know what that is LOL

Anyway, I'm in terra incognita with this, and don't want to waste an exciting RP/Story element while it's (pardon the hand pun) within reach.

Any suggestions (constructive, if you please) are most welcome.

Peace

Libris Mortis has undead grafts, and while there is no mummy arm there are several undead arm grafts. Actually there are a ton.

Enervarting Arm, Paralysising Arm, Ghostly Arm, Weakening Arm, Skelletal Hand, Mummified Hand, and Zombie Arm.

Thematically the mummified hand would fit best, though it is the equivalent of a 16,200 gp magic item. Skeletal Hand on the other hand is much more balanced.

Take a look for Libris Mortis.
