| Cabral03-11-07, 12:43 AM | First, let me say that while I've heard references to restrictions on 3rd party links, the scant mention in the code of coduct seems to allow this reference. If I am mistaken ... be gentle ... I like Eberron but the gods never sat well with me, but the parallels between the Iron Kingdoms Deities (http://privateerpress.com/ironkingdoms/default.php?x=about/deities) may be a good and easy transition. This is not Iron Kingdoms using Eberron rules and I am not going to port over other IK material (Gun Mages, Ogruns, Pain of Healing, Mechanika, etc). I am merely borrowing their gods. :) So on to the parrallels ------------ Deities ------------ Iron Kingdoms Eberron Role/Equivelant Morrow The Sovereign Host Thamar The Dark Six Cyriss The Becomming God Menoth The Silver Flame Toruk Blood of Vol (sort of) Dhunia Various Druid Sects Devourer Wurm Cult of Dragon Below? Great Fathers Unsure. Maybe non-existant Scryah The Undying Court (Ooo. Irony!) Nyssor The Undying Court (too) Morrow & Thamar Similar to the Silver Flame, the worshipers of Morrow and Thamar believe they merge with their god or goddess. Those of particularly strong faith are sometimes chosen to remain seperate entities to represent a cause they championed in life. Morrow (as a pantheon of Ascendants) Neutral Good Domains: To be determined after Ascendants are addressed. Favored Weapon: Longsword <insert Ascendents> Thamar (as a pantheon of Scions) Neutral Evil Domains: To be determined after Scions are addressed. Favored Weapon: <insert Scions> Cyriss Neutral Domains: Artifice, Knowledge, Meditation, Warforged Favored Weapon: ? Menoth/Silver Flame In this version, "Menoth" is more benevolent, but still has an uncompromising streak. Menoth was the first champion against the Rajahs and accomplished fantastic deeds. Upon his death, his body immolated and gave birth to the Silver Flame. Lawful Good Domains: Exorcism, Good, Inquisition, Law, Protection, Purification Favored Weapon: Heavy Mace Undying Court The worship of the Undying Court is fairly unchanged from Eberron. The individual Elven "gods" from the IK become instead specific Undying Councilers; sort of a High Council amongst the Undying Court. None are "vanished" and Nyssor has not left. Prophets I am using "prophet" to represent the current recognized religious leader of the church of a given a deity. Cyriss Current Prophet: Lord of Blades (Crusader of Cyriss 10/Warforged Juggernaut 5) - I'm unsure about this. Blood of Vol Current Prophet: Errandis D'Vol / Lord Toruk (Black Dragon, perhaps Vampiric or Dracolich). Undying Court/Elven Gods Current Prophet: None. Menoth/Silver Flame Current Prophet: Jaela Daran. |
