Yes, but why would someone do it?

Also, those deities would propably get assimilated into the Host anyway (as the Keeper and Dol Dorn for the two examples you gave).

03-05-07, 09:28 AM You can certainly worship anything you want, in Eberron.

If you have strong enough faith, you will be granted clerical (or, divine in any case) abilities; no one is *really* sure where these powers come from.

However, if you are worshiping a deity that no one has ever heard of and displaying obvious powers of that faith, most people will simply try to make the connection to the "existing" deities and say that you're worshiping some aspect of the gods in an unusual way.

Someone dedicated to "Hades," and wielding clerical powers in his name, would probably be seen as worshiping some aspect of The Keeper by the rest of Eberronians. Likewise, Thor would probably be considered some aspect of Dol Arrah or Dol Dorn.

03-06-07, 01:46 PM The Sovereign Host is an accumulation of all the pantheons of all the races. It is not impossible for there to be holdouts in any area of Khorvaire that retain worship of the older pantheons. Here you would find the Host actively proselytizing, seeking to convert the locals. So, unless it's a very remote area, there shouldn't be a PC unfamiliar with the SH, even though he/she worships an older pantheon.

03-07-07, 12:36 PM Yup, check Faiths of Eberron, as it goes into much more detail, but generally speaking, the followers of the Sovereign Host try to generalize any other gods into being aspects of the "standard" Eberron gods, or combinations.

If a remote tribe of shifters in the heart of the eldeen reaches worships Nature God X, who has dominance over all of nature, then the Sovereign Host followers would just go "Oh, they're worshipping the union of Balinor and Arawai", as those two gods in the Host are already a pair, and cover all of the same ideals.

Hades would be another version of The Keeper, Vulcan would be Ornator, etc.
Thats how most of Khovaire would interpret it. But since there is no proof of the existance of ANY of the gods, you can worship whoever you like.
