any one know of a way for an artificer to recharge spent or partially spent wands? maybe a way to augment existing wands?

For the first one theres the Power Surge infusion, And besides that nothing.

Kind of like recharging a lightbulb.

And augmenting wands... I think almost 10% of the ECS is on that topic.

I'd say it's justifiable to just craft the difference between the full wand and the partially unloaded version, meaning a half depleted wand will take half the time the full wand took and cost half the gp and XP. This way, you save yourself getting a new stick and you can hang on to the items you have cool memories of using ("And this, son, is the wand with which I blasted the Evil Overlord off of his tower...").

That's what I do. If you can create a partially-charged wand (and you can), I see no reason that you can't do so just to 'top it off'.

The problem with that method is the discount compared to scrolls. Scrolls have a multiplier of 25 gp, a wand of 750/50 gp = 15 gp, making scrolls less useful.

Normally, that's not a problem: Wands give you a bulk discount, but that way, you make scrolls a bit less useful.

If it works out for you, more power for you, but you may consider "recharging" a bit more expensive, like the price difference x 4/3, making the effective multiplier 20 gp, placing it between scrolls and a new wand.

I think that's a fair price, because you get it cheaper than an equivalent scroll, but you're limited to your existing wands.
