| TiwazTyrsfist07-05-07, 10:06 PM | Section 1 - Adding Incarnum to Eberron I favor the New/Very very old approach. Short version: Incarnum starts to show up suddenly. Slowly at first, but in increasing numbers, people are discovering the ability to manipulate this form of magic, previously unknown to them. Warforged with blue incarnum meldshape plating wander up from the deeps in Sharn. Orcish and hobgoblin shamen come out of the wild with beastial meldshapes. And wizards at Morgrave university, once clued in, quickly begin to unravel the mysteries of this new form of power. Should the PC's look into this new power, they start to find it's not so new after all. Carvings on ruins in Xen'drik show Giants in helms of blue that closely resemble meldshapes. Tales of an anchient gatekeeper "Druid" are explained when the first modern totemists shape the Threefold Mask of the Chimera. And when questioned, the eldest of the deathless say nothing, but look unsettled, as if one they thought long dead had returned to confront them. Longer and more indepth version comming tomorrow if I have time. |
| TiwazTyrsfist07-05-07, 11:01 PM | Section Two - Racial Substitution Levels Shifter Totemist 2nd Totem Chakra Bind (+1 Capacity), Shifting-Spirit Meld 3rd Totem's Strength 8th Shifting Totem Bind (1/day) Your connection to beastial spirits gives you a stronger connection to your own beastial spirit, the power behind your shifting. In place of a soulmeld, you may bind your shifting-spirit to your totem chakra, and invest it with essentia. This grants you improved powers while shifting, and one extra shifting per day, as long as it's bound to the chakra. All Traits: For each essentia you invest, your shiftings last one round longer. For every two essentia you invest, you gain one extra shifting per day, and you gain an extra +1 to the stat associated with your primary shifter trait while shifting. Longtooth, Razorclaw, and Gorebrute: Adds +1 to attack and damage rolls with the natural weapon for each essentia invested, and the weapon counts as magic for the purposes of over coming DR. Beasthide: +1 natural armor per invested essentia. Cliffwalk, Longstride, Swiftwing, Truedive: +5 feet to associated movement speed per point of essentia invested. Dreamsight: +1 insight bonus to all saves. (Best I could come up with on this one. I figure, minor pressience = know things are coming = better chance to avoid or resist them) Wildhunt: Increases the range of the sent ability 5 feet per essentia invested. This replaces the increase in soulmelds normally gained at 2nd level. From now on, your total number of soulmelds you can have shaped at one time is one less than normal for your totemist level. While your Shifting-Spirit is bound to your totem chakra, you gain the following benefits when not shifting. +1 to the associated attribute. Beasthide: +1 natural AC bonus Cliffwalk: +5 Climb skill bonus Dreamsight: +5 Handle Animal skill bonus Gorebrute: You manifest small horns that do 1d6 damage if used for a charge attack Longstride: +5 feet to move speed Longtooth: Your gain small fangs that grant a 1d4 bite attack. Razorclaw: You gain small claws, that grant you the Improved Unarmed Strike feat. Swiftwing: +5 Jump skill, and your jump distance is not bounded by your height. Truedive: +5 swim skill, and you can hold your breath twice as long as normal. Wildhunt: +5 survival skill, and you may track by scent, if you have the track feat. Your scent range is only 5ft, so it doesn't grant the blind sense effect it normally does. This replaces the Totem's protection feature normally gained at level 3. Once per day, if you have a something other than your shifting-spirit bound to your totem chakra, you may unbind it and rebind your shifting spirit to the totem chakra, and allocate any free essentia to this binding. This is a part of the free action of starting shifting. This replaces the rebind totem chakra ability gained at level 8. You gain that ability at level 12 instead, and gain extra uses of it at level 16 and 20, for a total of 3 times per day at lvl 20. I have warforged soulborn sub levels I'll post tomorrow. If you have suggestions for Changelings or Kalashtari, please let me know. |

| TiwazTyrsfist07-06-07, 09:08 AM | Heh, well dang. Guess I should have searched a bit harder... I'll still post my other bits when I get home. Also working on a changeling sub-level set, probably for one of the new classes from the guide threads. |
