I'm not that well acquainted with Karrnathi material. However, I've recently come across some references about the Oversoul of Karrnath, from Keith Baker's FAQ threads in late '04.

What is the Oversoul? Is it specifically detailed in any of the "Eberron" sourcebooks previously published? Or a "Dragonshard" perhaps? I've been able to piece together a few tidbits from Keith's replies . . . but I'm looking for more.

The oversoul is a term used to describe a collective soul of a group.

In other words the Karrnathian people have a common purpose/way of thinking that defines the way they live their lives and how they interact with other groups.

However, it's pretty much up to debate whether any such thing exists. It could be that the "fighting spirit of Karrnath" of the Karrnathi undead is just an AI-component of the spells used to raise them.
