Part-Human2 03-03-07, 01:16 AM	With the Unseen Crafter spell (RoE) you have to provide the appropriate tools and materials. If you provide masterwork or magic tools, would you allow the bonus to its Craft check? Do you need to provide a forge (if working on weapons, armor, etc)? I'm not sure I'd consider a forge a "tool" or "material." An anvil might be a tool though. Since it can be assigned any one task that can be done with the craft skill can it Aid Another (Craft DC 10 to grant a +2 bonus to somebody else's craft check)? Assuming it operates 24 hrs/day (for 1 day/level) does it get 3x more work done?
Flinx58 04-21-07, 07:52 PM	A "tool" is any item used in or the aide in the creation of another item or task not consumed by the act. Not a direct definition I'm sure, but close enough. So while a lockpick you can use over and over again isnt consumed, its a tool, while the piece of iron you used to make a sword would be material. An Anvil is certainly a tool as it is used to shape the task you strike against it and is not consumed in another items creation. Unless of course you count that huge war hammer that fire giant mini has from WotC. :D Then that would be material. But usually not.
