Hello everyone! Has anyone ever ran an adventure into the King's Forest in Breland? It sounds like fun! If you did, can you answer a few quick questions for me? I'd like to run into the forest for some griffon fruit (as mentioned in the ECS).

What role did the King have on your adventure?

What role did the Jungle Boys play?

Run into any really interesting animals?

What exactly does a Griffon Fruit look like?

Did you go on foot? (Or did House Vadalis help you out?)

Just curious! Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I actually ran the same encounter, so I have lots for ya. First off, we didn't ask permission, since the Kings Men( the Forest Rangers) had denied passage into the forest due to the Jungle Boys activity. We snuck in from the Zilargo side of the forest, then crossed back onto the Brelish side. The party was ambushed by the jungle boys, including Tree Viper, Panther, and about 8 henchmen. The thieves were divided into two groups. One repeled down from the trees while the others exploded from the ground via a Land Womb spell. Just as my players were getting worn down, the Kings Men rode in and captured Tree Viper and Panther. The rangers waved off the parties intrusion in thanks for their part in capturing Tree Viper.
One ranger decided to see them through the forest to get the Griffon Fruit. The mission was posed by a member of House Vadalis. Basically they wanted a sample of the fruit to run tests on to strengthen their animals. The parties reward was a Magebred hound of horse.
Anywayz, the party fought a lesser battlebriar, a yellow musk creeper and two yellow musk creeper tiger zombies. While traveling, they passed through an illusion into a perfect natural garden. They could move about freely, unless they decided to harm any of the plants, and then the vines and trees would attack them.
The GRiffon Fruit tree is a massive tree located in the middle of a island in a weed choked lake. The players walked on giant lily pads to the island. A ring of towering oaks rimmed the edge of the island. Once there, they were attacked by a male human woodling druid, his woodling boar companion and two wood woads. After defeating and sparing the life of the druid, who was crazy and hated fleshy creatures, they waited until the Griffon fruit bloomed.
When the fruit bloomed, the tree glowed, and the fruits ripened instantly in a flash of orange light. I described the fruit as kind of a sun ripened tomatoe looking fruit. A bright red with orange splotches near the stem, but shaped more or less like an apple. House Vadalis provided them with a Preservation Jar, so the fruit wouldn't spoil instantly.

Hope that helps ya out!
