I'm about to throw the players into someDroaam fun and they will be going to the FLeshweaver for something that their patron has hired them to find. I need some cool wierd creations of his to throw at them. Anyone out there ever come up with some good ones?

hmmm, haven't gotten to weird for what's around his... domain. limited it mainly to things like adding various templates to critters. so an Half Fire Elemental Troll would be rather tame. but a a Half-Fire Elemental, Tauntric(gorgon) Troll would be more to the norm. if you have it, Green Ronin's Advanced Beastiary and it's Almalgom... well template for the lack of a better word, is likely one of the better ways to go as it's literlly combineing several creature types/specific creatures into one critter.

I think of both Mordain and the Daelkyr every time I flip past the Alienist PrC in Complete Arcane. That disgusting looking abomination of page 22 seems just the sort of thing a "fleshweaver" might create. I'll add a link to the picture as soon as I find the gallery.

The PrC itself, for that matter, seemed easily adaptable to Eberron from the moment I first saw it. Replace the Far Realm with Xoriat and its Daelkyr overlords, and it's done.

Here's the picture:

Pick up a copy of Savage Species and start slapping random templates on things.

Some great ideas so far guys, thanks! I'll take another boo at the savage species book and see if stuff in there takes my fancy. So far this is how my thinking is going:

Mordain's tower is in Droaam, so the majority of the creatures he gets to expirement on come from there. So we're talking the gnolls, ogres, trolls, flinds, goblinoids, minotaurs, medusas and more. I figure that thwe guy couldn't go all willy nilly with his selection of things to work on because some things have friends. So mostly he would work with criminals of the monsterous races that would otherwise be put to death for their crimes are given over to Mordain to work on.

I'm gong to have it so the guy has a small army of truely fanatic creations that see him as a god, and because of these followers he can assure the authorities that none of the dangerous criminals can leave his lands.

It's the foundation of my thinking for his canvas so to speak. Pluys he would be willing to buy hostages from various monsterous races as long as they don't come with trouble in the form of Dragonmarks, royal blood or people with strong affiliations.

He's also a good way to put some of the freakier races into the game.
Avarials, Mongrelmen, whatever else you need could be the result of Mordain's experimentation.

I had a live donkey with zombie donkey legs stitched onto him. It was inspired by the undying grafts. In my game Mordain offered to buy it from the PC's for a hefty price if they delivered it in person (they declined) but it could have been created by him just as easily.

Having flipped through the Svage species book I can see tons in there that I will use. Most especially the Insectoid template! THe players are alreeady going to see him for the final thing needed for their patron to be able to use formians as his new super worker force. That will simply play up the insectoid like feel of the adventure. Thanks for the suggestion Edymnion!
