Hello everyone! I'd really appreciate your thoughts concerning the following issue: I have decided to create a nemesis after the most recent addition to the PCs...a warforged paladin of the blood of Vol( well, he wanted something unusual). These are some options I'm considering:

The Champion of the Keeper(mortal edition). He/ She will take at least a few cleric levels. Rather straightforward, he/she is the opposite of the hero who swore to protect mortals and fight death itself.

The Champion of the Keeper(weapon edition). An intelligent and extremely malevolent weapon created to steal souls( Khuber's fang) and take them to the Keeper's domain( at least according to the faithful). Something like a religious Elric's Stormbringer. A teleport power is not out of the question. Probably a scythe, a greatsword or a halberd.Oh, and it couldn't care less about its handler.

The Emerald Claw. The warforged came to Q'barra in order to spread the faith-meeting some depraved followers whose actions support the fear and misunderstanding the blood of Vol often faces will be...interesting. As for their claims that their actions are blessed by the Crimson Covenant, they couldn't possibly be true, could they?

The Deathguard agent. Probably another paladin. This elf will atempt to sabotage the church's facilities, destroy the undead and assassinate its clerics and necromancers. Perhaps he/she will directly attack the paladin too, perhaps not, but the deathguard agent will become a very annoying thorn.

Well, this is all I've thought so far. Haven't been able to make a choice among them, too. So, any thoughts or suggestions :) ?

You realise that as a servant of the Blood of Vol the character is naturally oppose to the Chruch of the Silver Flame. Make it a Warforged Paladin(with Warforged Sub level RoE)/Monk/the monk pally PrC from FoE for the Church of the Silver Flame. Mechanicly it should be a match for the PC just don't go over board the class can be over kill. Anyone remember where that feat is that turns Smite Evil into standard smite?

If you don't have Races of Eberron or Faiths of Eberron you should try something else.

Ah, the mirror approach. So much alike, and yet so different...Nice one, and since I've already placed a group of knightly antagonists, both Flame and Sovereign worshippers(all misqided by Quori manipulation) the warforged, if I use it should appear there. Thanks for your help.

P.S.I think I'll use at least one of my earlier ideas.Still can't choose which one. Silly me

Well it all depends on how your campaign is progressing. Do you want to add Emerald Claw more often or elves who worship the Undying Court? All your ideas can make pretty interesting games, but still depends on your PC's and the rest of the party's interests.

I particularly like number 3, finding that the Emerald Claw and the Blood of Vol are the two hands of one entity is a good adventure plot. Will the PC continue to serve or will he change his faith and battle old friends? One of my players is a NG follower of the Blood of Vol and the campaign arc will lead him to discover hidden things about his faith. I can't wait to see how he'll play it out.

My second pick would be the Elf Deathguard. Imagine if your PC eventually becomes an undead.... imagine a warforged mummy or vampire.

So far, everything goes.

Concerning that issue, I'm considering using the Qabalrin, perhaps even the Evening Glory (see Hellcow's Eberron Expanded, Libris Mortis I).
