Personally, I imagine Thrane would have a green Chile burrito, and Karrnath would have the super King Kaius deluxe with a red chile sauce. |
| snotling05-23-07, 09:24 AM | King Kaius Carne Adovada and I think the Mror holds would go for a bacon and sausage handheld. |
| ChimericalWolf05-23-07, 10:09 AM | I think Karrnath would go for a heavy burrito, sausage and potato and thick cream gravy. Breland would have the widest range available, especially in Sharn, and could have almost anything (as long as it's spicy!) Aundair would probably turn the thing into a sort of crêpe, and shake their heads at people buying burritos on street-corners. Dunno about Thrane, though. |

The old Sharn Fussion Burrito would probably have some sort of hotter than a demon's butt peppers from Droam, but they would have lots of other types as well. And Aundair would probably have little fruity desert burritos stuffed with strawberries and drizzled with a chocolate syrup. Although the strawberry part would taste better, the two flavors together would be nice. |

| gleicher2705-23-07, 01:32 PM | Why am I forseeing a plot hook involving travelling into the Mournlands to find the lost secret ingredient in the Cyran Metrol Special burrito? HaHaHa ! A lost recipe, perhaps the adventurers could be hired out by House Ghallanda ? |
| ChimericalWolf05-23-07, 01:36 PM | HaHaHa ! A lost recipe, perhaps the adventurers could be hired out by House Ghallanda ? Or simply a wealthy noble ex-pat who's hungry for a taste of home....and the magical password in the back of the cookbook? |
| Kamikaze Chicken05-23-07, 02:05 PM | which nation would have beano on sale in the market though? |
| gelalshawr05-23-07, 04:02 PM | the original breakfast burrito recipe was brought to Sharn by an explorer returning from Xen'drik where he had befriended a drow household. They taught him many things, but the most lucrative in the commercial world was how to make a flat bread from ground black corn, and recipes for stuffing it with various ingredients; scorpion meat, axebeak eggs, spices and other flavorings, and cheese made from the milk of the hippogriff. |

Ya know I can totally see that happening. Furthermore, since they would be so surprisingly convenient on the Talenta plains, I could see the halfling riders or the Karrnathi warriors having some always on hand. |
| gleicher2705-23-07, 04:27 PM | Outside of Sharn I imagine that the Brelish people would have a breakfast burrito with potatoes, ham, egg, bell pepper, and cheese with a light tomato sauce. |

Furthermore, since they would be so surprisingly convenient on the Talenta plains, I could see the halfling riders or the Karrnathi warriors having some always on hand. The Talenta spin makes a lot of sense as well, plains people need foods that are easy to pack and eat on the go. And I imagine Aerenal would disdain the idea of burritos in general and live on sushi |
| OctaviusIII05-23-07, 05:38 PM | Ahh, the culinary culture! There really would be some quests from master chefs looking to outdo the competition, especially in the field of breakfast burritos. |
| Vharuck05-23-07, 05:40 PM | Karrnath is famous for its cheese, so: The Karrnathi Twelve: A special burrito made of a tortilla wrapped around shredded beef and six kinds of cheese, with six other kinds of cheese melted and spread over the top of it. |
| Edymnion05-23-07, 05:46 PM | Sharn, hands down. They are the ones with access to Xen'Drik for the peppers (yes, its specifically stated in SoX I believe that hot peppers grow there), and they are the hub of trade that would be required to have all of the other ingrediants for a breakfast burrito available. Karnnathi cheese, potatoes and eggs from Breland, spices from Thrane, etc. |
| LoneStranger05-23-07, 07:49 PM | Wait what? Is someone trying to make a Warforged chef so he can serve burritos? |
| Rechan05-23-07, 09:44 PM | Screw the Five Nations - Zilargo likely has the best. Or Q'barra. |
| The Wilgar05-23-07, 10:09 PM | Screw the Five Nations - Zilargo likely has the best. Or Q'barra. Q'barra is seconded. Spicy and loaded with shrimp, crawdads and 'gator meat, I gaur-own-tee! |
| gleicher2705-24-07, 05:36 PM | Any thoughts on who might have the sweet onion that can make a burrito so special ? |
| Rechan05-24-07, 05:53 PM | Any thoughts on who might have the sweet onion that can make a burrito so special ? Shadow marches, maybe? Or Aundair. |
| Splendide05-24-07, 09:06 PM | Darguun. Wouldn't that put a fly in the ointment :) |

| korcheck05-25-07, 04:07 PM | I'm sorry to tell everyone, but it is common knowledge that the first burrito's were produced by the goblins the idea of the "breakfast" burrito was popularized in Sharn. the original ingredients were actually a bean paste, eggs from whatever bird was handy goat cheese, and a shreaded meat. This was served to workers and slave for its high protein allowing them to work longer. At the beginning of Sharns industrial age after the war of the mark goblin cooks would travel with carts through the cogs and serve this to the workers. The idea of adding spices came from the fact that a strong spicey sauce covered the taste of the sometimes rancid meat. As the tasty and easy meal spread through out the nations each region began altering the ingredients to their particular taste, not becuase of the flavors but due to what they had on hand such as the potatos of Breland. as wheat flour was at the time more prevelent in places other than the cogs it soon became the wrap of choise. It should also be noted some of the other industries that help to popularize this tasty meal such as the hardy folk on the cattle drives. Due to this and the foundries in the cogs it quickly spread to the dragonmarked houses. Keep all this in mind the next time you kick a lowly goblin, if not for them you would not have this tasty treat. :D |
| gelalshawr05-25-07, 04:09 PM | The old guy in Tavick's Landing in Sharn selling various types of burritos from a rickety little cart is really an ancient copper dragon that's just really, REALLY bored. |
| Lord_Madrigan05-25-07, 11:16 PM | Riedra laughs at the puny Breakfast Burritos of Khorvaire. In the Great Riedra Empire We make our Burritos From the Broken hopes and dreams of our subjects. |
| Identitystolen05-26-07, 02:17 AM | The old guy in Tavick's Landing in Sharn selling various types of burritos from a rickety little cart is really an ancient copper dragon that's just really, REALLY bored. Well if you consider the area, trying to sell breakfast burritos in Tavick's Landing would be interesting. I mean, if you're into people watching TL is called "the most eclectic quarter of Sharn" so it'd be an interesting place to run a vendor cart. |
| Bluebrush05-26-07, 06:13 AM | The old guy in Tavick's Landing in Sharn selling various types of burritos from a rickety little cart is really an ancient copper dragon that's just really, REALLY bored.Really? Cause he told me he was The Traveller, awaiting the time when someone would order a veggie burrito during a triple lunar eclipse, and then he would unmake the world. Though to be fair, he was in a dreamlilly den at the time. (The psychoactive burrito was declared a unanimous failure by the way.) |
| ArcTan05-26-07, 07:20 AM | Screw the Five Nations - Zilargo likely has the best. Or Q'barra. None of the war-torn nations of the West can compete with the burritos we of Riedra have achieved thanks to the peace and conformity brought by the Inspired. EDIT: Damn, Lord Madrigan beat me to it. |
| gelalshawr05-26-07, 12:44 PM | In communist Sarlona, burrito eats you? |
| gleicher2705-26-07, 03:58 PM | Riedra laughs at the puny Breakfast Burritos of Khorvaire. In the Great Riedra Empire We make our Burritos From the Broken hopes and dreams of our subjects. HAHAHAHA ! Lord Madrigan, you are too cool ! Truely, I wonder what the Riedran's think of the oger sized burritos made in the Syrkarn ? Also up north in the Tashana Tundra, it must be ice fish tacos for everyone :D (The probably don't have enough flour of any type to make burritos there) |
| Melvin the Mediocre05-28-07, 09:04 AM | Booooo! It's to late, you've awakened the dread burrito. It catches you and eats you. |
