| Pivotal03-14-07, 03:27 AM | Is there any actual info about what Khyber is like in the books? I have pretty much all of them but I have a hard time finding anything. What lives in Khyber except for some abberations and such? How dangerous is it there? etc. Why don't we have a khyber book yet? :p Info, theories, etc is appriciated. |

Also, some of the novels plunge into Khyber a bit, check that out. The other best source is third party material like the lords of madness. I bet that many of the kinds of things u see in that book on illithid culture would reflect well in Khyber. Having said that, i dont think Khyber is a universal place-as in, it differs from region to region. Underneath the eldeen reachs for example one is likely to have a prevelant amount of Illithids and Daeklyr. I would say it would be incredibly dangerious underneath the demon wastes as this is where many rajahs are trapped. Whereas in Thrane there is a large amount of holy material in the land-it may well contain good aligned creatures-perhaps coault still battling below. In the dwarf realms its likely to be heavily mined up and have unleashed more conventional monsters and horrows on the world. Whereas in the monster nations clearly many monsters comfortable in the dark have moved below. Those are some suggestions. |
