It says that it is mentioned in Shadows of the Last War what these signs mean, but I can't seem to find them. The only thing I can come up with is that it is a map, roughly the same as the one they find in Darguun in Shadows of the Last War with all sorts of Vetsments of House Cannith on it. In that case I could probably use the picture of Merrix d'Cannith from the bok Dragonmarked, where he stand over the table, but I'm not sure if I'm rght about this. ANybody else know what these signs mean?? |

(oN a side note, I just realised that a player who recently died made a detailed map of that area. And he killed the only other person in the blood of Vol to make a detailed investigation of the map. Which makes the late players journal VERY important to the emerald claw. thanks man!) Anyways, the map detailed several areas...*gets his copy of the module*...including: -Whitehearth -Tallis -Cabblen Hall -Blackhearth -Kronu Hall -Redhearth Judging by the description in the module, they all reside somewhere in the mournland, and judging by the logic of the module, they all are owned by house Cannith and most likely deal in Heavy experimentation(whitehearth having been a magical development facility that unknowingly created a firebombing box powered by fire elementals...) |

But looking at those names it seems like my diea was right. Thanx for the reply:) |

It would be difficult for the map to relate to near-modern Cannith holdings in the Mournland though, since the foundry in The Forgotten Forge was (if I recall) operated and lost during the War of the Mark period, which would make the map seriously out of date... |

The party was beat up and withdrew as well. I decided that Garrow figured out the floor map, smashed the statues and took their heads, then refilled the place with rubble and fled the area. The "mysterious map" just had a few landmarks and in one of the margines had the information that was on the back of the statue's head. This allowed them to still have the same puzzle, but I then the EC's could take reasonable actions (destroy the evidence) without derailing the adventure. |
